Good. One must be able to keep out the cossacks and other riff-raff.

The flags are another matter. It seems nearly everyone used eagles - the Poles, Prussians, the Empire, Austrians and Russians. The Imperial and Austrian flags are very similar - both have a black eagle on a yellow background.

I've been unable to find a definitive flag for the Russians of the mid-eighteenth century, so I've improvised: a two-headed Romanov eagle on a green background.
Try to look for the Russian flag here.
Nice to see you again after four years, Tecumseh.

            Hi Turno,

Thanks for the link. I have difficulty navigating it because I lack French. Can you steer me to the flag area?

It's nice to hear from you as well. Did you have another handle before?

            Cheers.

Click on Russie and look to the Russian line-o-troopers on the top of the page.

My old nick started with Pr. As a matter of facts, you're using my city graphics for your scenario.

PS I have an huge Osprey book collection now - including Frederick's Russian English and Austrian army.

For French only foreign regiments and colonial troops, sorry.

My old scenario units for the never released Austrian Succession war. Feel free to use some of them, even as example. Basically most are mods from Fairline's infantry units. These are updated to 1748, but Seven year war's Prussian French and Austrian units were similar.

                        From first row, first cell:

Farmer - engineer - Infantrymen : Prussian French Spanish British ( Also served as Marine ) Austrian Neutral - Muslim Pirate

Irregulars - Infantrymen : Saboy French - Marines : French Saboy Spain - Cavalry: French - Prussian Cuirassers - Cavalry: Austrian

Cavalry: French, Hussars ( All of the nations ), British Neutral Saboy - Artillery

Grenadiers: Spanish British Austrian Prussian - Naval artillery and ships

Other ships - British Irish regiments - Neutral grenadiers - Ships - Spanish cavalry

Maria Therese - diplomat - A fortress and a frisian fenced field - Hannover cavalry - Frenc Mousquetiers - Genoa's Brembo regiment

Infantrymen : Hungarian Dutch Hannover Highlanders - Grenadiers of Naples Bavaria and Parma - Naples' Infantrymen
