    No problem Patine.
If you have to change every ocean square individually this should be many work so I wouldn´t change them.
It´s because it isn´t really realistic if you destroy a transport the land units will survive in the ocean.

I´m like AGRICOLA curiously what happens with the planes if I attack and destroy a carrier. If I get the chance I will let you know.

Alright, the EotRS v1.3 events, rules, and units are ready for playtest; I need only wait until Chris provides the 'beachead' terrain graphic and it'll be ready to go. I'm hoping I can lure such luminaries as AGRICOLA (a playtest legend in his own right) to try this new, much more difficult version. Watch for it shortly!

        EOTRS V1.3 READY FOR PLAYTEST!
This is the latest version, using a bunch of updated unit GFX, AGRICOLA's beachead terrain idea, and cleaning up and adjusting a few other things from v1.2. Please give this one a try, and let me know what you think! I'm hoping it's close to a final version. Note: if you're just extracting it over a previous version, delete the old '5events.txt' and '6events.txt,' this version only has two events files. Here's the first .zip file.

So, anyone started this yet? Any reports?

Well I just started my first turn as the Empire of the Rising Sun, and I've done well so far (five Aichi D3A Val's were used to destroy all 19 American units in Honolulu). Right now I'm preparing to launch a naval task force towards the Aleutian Islands with the goal of capturing Dutch Harbor and possibly later Anchorage if task force strength permit.

As for any bugs, only one has been encountered so far (and a relatively minor one at that). The F6F Hellcat fighter unit is represented by a naval transport unit and Japan has 8 of the American fighters active.

Ah, I'd switched the F6F Hellcat and Landing Craft slots to test a theory of AGRICOLA's, but I thought I'd replaced all of the units that were turned into F6F's into what are now Landing Crafts (am I clear?). I'll check this out right away.

I tested a copy of what I uploaded, and there's only starting Landing Craft; no one has F6F's at start. Perhaps you extracted the .zip files into the EotRS v1.1 or v1.2 folder and forgot to use the Sunrise.bat file to activate the new events.txt and rules.txt. Please check if that's the case. If not, I'll have a further look.

Yes come to think of it that was probably my bad.

Doesn't anyone else have any playtest feedback? It's been a week. I need to know what needs to be improved so I can finish this thing. Please!

I do intend to give it a whirl, Patine, but right now I busy with my own project. Perhaps in a week or so. I'm looking forward to it.

I downloaded EOTRS 1.3 and opened it. Surprise. I guess I never mentioned how much I had to change the terrain graphics in order to make it playable for me. I would humbly suggest that you might consider decluttering the map so that important features such as rivers, roads, railroads and units are easily visible. IMHO, there is no need to obscure a whole square (terrain and any road or RR) with a mining icon that covers the entire square. Also, I don't see why peasant huts that create incredible visual clutter should be part of the irrigation icon.

Below is a comparison of the terrain that comes with the scen and what I have cobbled together from several sources.

They hardly look like the same section of the game map.

Point taken. I'll put that on my fix list. I just hope you're not too upset at that to continue. I really value for input.
