  • We never really discussed any of this sort, so I doubt it. although it is in the readme this was mainly ment for SP, or suggested winning factors. We can make a Victory Point system similar to that of First Strike, but then we should all play by that from the get go.

I want to continue play anyway.

            • ok, im up before we make clear some conditions:

1- what do i have by having the last tech?? it's sure that this rules applies to MP, pbem mode.

oh, it's rather obvious that the AI can't win you in a tech race, no one take into account SP mode.

2- when must we finish this Pbem then??? should we set a VP system???

              what do you men thinks?

256 cities is the max allowed. The game won't allow more cities. It sucks but that's how it works, no way to go around it. It's been a problem of min in all scenarios I've made, that you can't create as many as you want. What are you going to do, you know? that's just how it is...
Don't have all of those Indian cities etc. There are quite a few. Also people create cities very close to eachother making colonisation look.. a bit too civ2 Making a mininum distance from another settlement? It will encourage growing in the Mid-west, which I have never seen in a colonialism.

Oh well, technically the midwest was not and still is not densely populated anyway.

But either way, I think the fact that many people built cities too close to one another was caused mainly by the fact that nobody had thought that this would happen. Or at least that this would happen so soon.

But now people are aware of the fact that strategic city placement is important, I guess.

Btw, is conquering "neutral" (ie European) cities allowed?

                  • I think we reached a concensus at EVO to leave Europe and Anatolia "neutral".

                    • To be totally Frank Eivind, this scenario has too many cities in the beginning. The tribes in Africa do a good job of replacing these towns but having cities like the Delaware and Iroquis is a bit useless as people rarely waste time to just destroy those cities. Giving those towns walls or removing them would solve some problems.

Maybe in some future colonialism we may try it out and compare it to older ones?

                              • Sorry, Dario, didn't see your post. I don't hate you, I love you

And I think it's a little late with a VP system for this PBEM. Since we disn't decide upon anything when we started, let's just play it as a normal PBEM for now. But for the new PBEM we should set up a VP system.
