The Next Project...! -
Apolyton Civilization Site
The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

I agree about the Falcon Curt, although there were tens and possibly hundreds of thousands of YT-1300's in the Star Wars galaxy in differing states of armor, weaponry and speed performance, there was only ever ONE Millenium Falcon.

And I hope you enjoyed Bradford.

Not to be a nitpicker myself but I can forgive myself for nitpicking a nitpicker . The Corellian Corvette you refer to Nestor is in fact Senator Organa's/Princess Leia's Conselor ship featured in the begining of Episode IV, where as the Millenium Falcon is a Corellian Engineering YT-1300.
Further reading on the ships can be found by following the links below.
Duh. I should actually read what I type.. a corellian corvette is a more military-oriented vessel than the Corellian Transport, which is the generic name of the YT-1300 (at least in the game), mainly intended for trading.
The silly thing is that I even remembered that the ship class was 'coded' as Cort in X-Wing and TIE Fighter's mini-map (and everywhere else they used the short ship 'codes' rather than full name)

Yes, but there are degrees, Curt.
I have a degree in geekism, with honours!

Is that so eh? I don't remember ever learning about the geek rating scale in school. Are we to believe that Jimmy and Tech aren't geeks as well?
The way I see it, accusing people of geekery on this forum is like "handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500", as Martin Sheen put it in Apocolypse Now .
In any case, it has nothing to do with this awsome project Curt has in the works so I'd prefer to keep things on said topic.
That being said, here are afew questions "geek" questions for you.
Have you decided if the game will begin before or after the destruction of the first Death Star?
Will it take place across the entire galaxy or a smaller region of it.
Will Rogue Squadron make an appearance as an elite X-Wing unit?

Happy to oblige!

I think the sceanrio might kick off at a time roughly a few years before the battle of Yavin.

It will be set in an frontier outer sector that is filled with pirates and scum.
The Imperials must conquer the area, build planetary infrasturctures and create a mighty fleet from the resources of the occupied worlds. You must hurry though, the wretched Rebels will work hard to stop you and make worlds rise against the Emperor!
I want to give the player a tough challenge but also plenty of rewards and a much deserved feeling of Imperial arrogance!

I might add these Rebel scum in as a real challenge to the player's governorship...You'll have to find their base and eradicate them...Perhaps they will be a foe that will return again and again...Perhaps other infamous rebel scum and villians will also appear!
I kinda like this idea more than that of a standard "Galactic Conquest" type SW scenario, it fits really well with the impression I had of what Thrawn was doing in TIE Fighter, pacifying a huge barbarous remote area with only a handful of really limited resources. I hope this will be packed full of conquest and search and destroy missions! (it wouldn't be the empire without having to patrol huge areas to track down floppy haired villanous scum!), I know it'll be top notch no matter what form it takes, due to the author!
Will the Moff's default name be an established one (Tarkan or Jerjerrod, say), or one of your own creation? Also, will Star Destroyers be buildable but VERY expensive, or will you make due with one or two as super units?

I will make a generic Imperial officer character.
I'll take a look atr my SW books and come up with an officer character for the scenario.
Of course, the player will be able to rename the leader anything they want, as the events will not use any specifics, etc.

When you start you have a command dreadnougt, and a modest fleet. You will have to earn command of a VSD at the onset of the scenario.
ISDs will not be buildable until you can set up the massive infrastructure needed to create them in your sector.
And even then, yes, they will be hideously expensive.
Also, as the game progresses on, Imperial command may allocate you one or two extra Star Destroyers as a reward, if you impress the Emperor!
The ISDs will be uber-powerful, but limited in that they cannot be everywhere at once, and can be destroyed by enemy vessels ganging up on it.
