  • Mongols for ToT

This is a Test of Time conversion of Harlan Thompson's classic Mongols scenario with new tarty graphics. Palaiologos has tweaked victory conditions, added some improvment and icon gfx and a describe.txt. The unit and people graphics are mine, while the wonderful city graphics are by Curt and the terrain is largely Catfish's.

If you haven't played the FW original (c'mon, why not?), you have to give this a whirl - it's a blast.

              I second that

(PS: Don't mean to nitpick, but title1.gif looks like a scene from Rorke's Drift. )

Cannot wait to try this one out! Great stuff!

Indeed, the Mongols in the title look a bit like Queen Vic's finest!

I want no thanks from you welsh-pict-anglo-celt or whatever you define yourself.

Just to set things straight, i didn't add a full describe.txt i simply copied the wonder descriptions of the labels.txt to the describe.txt so their whole text could be viewable. And as for the improvements and icons i simply copied and pasted yours and curt's gfx.

Btw shouldn't you be working on finding ways to pay that debt of yours? With the frenchies winning yesterday you now owe me 3.000.010 Euros. And before you ask i am not accepting your ex as payment this time. No way i am falling for that again.

Oddly, I am not getting the proper Great Wall units in my game...They are invisible.

                            Anyone else getting this?

I've got animated units and terrain turned off, I've included a dummy resourse.spr and I made a static.spr with the great wall and mountain graphics, so that I could remove the health bar on these two. I've set the 'use spr' flag for these in rules, so you should be getting the right graphics for them without health bar.

I'm confused as to why you aren't seeing them Curt. Anyone else with this problem?
