    • Why does the list get longer rather than shorter?

      • Did a largely successful playtest, but it needs a few tweaks for balance. Beirut turned into a formidable citadel, which I was hoping to avoid.

      • Almost finished with WoW's in Describe.txt.

      • Still need to add some topics to the "Scenario Concepts" section of the Pedia. I'd like to give info about moving between maps, the ideal time to launch the spaceship, reinforcements, replacements, and money management.

      • Need to edit ss.dll to have a more time-appropriate sequence of ss building.

      • Also need to edit Pedia.txt with info about events associated with some advances and improvements.

      • I'll leave sounds to the beta testers to suggest and provide.

      • Making progress, but still have about 9 of these topics to fill in.

        • Pyramids aren't the only wonders in Egypt!

          Pedia is finished!

Tried a new U-boat idea with mixed results! Ran across the old 'AI air unit vastly exceeds range' bug.

          • Been playing again with the spaceship

Synchronized the spaceship images with the pace of my alpha test. Toyed with another spaceship theme. Found a way around the A.S.S. prefix, though the solution hexes the EXE. Since I was hexing it anyway, I subbed £ for $ to make city and advisor screens make more sense.

Looks like I can post this for beta testing as soon as I return from a trip. Any chance I can mooch some space, Techumseh?

No answers to pleas by email and post? Tech, are you around? Still have the shaw address? Fairline didn't answer the email either, but he's Welsh.

              • I can't read your e-mail let alone answer it

More importantly, where are Case and Wobbefish when you need to gloat about the heroic exploits of the England cricket team? We won a game! Alright, so we didn't beat Oz, but NZ and Australia are pretty much the same place, right?

                • Catfish has found his thread to gloat at CFC. IIRC, England Cricket team rates somewhat higher among its peers than does the US soccer team.

Do all British bookshops still have prominent displays of books on the 2005 Ashes series like they did when I was there in May?

                      • SL site questions

I think I can teach myself how to write a Wiki page in SL for this scenario, but how do I actually upload it? Is there space for a 10 mb 4-zip scen? My 'poly space is taken up with EAv1.

                          • I'm amazed at the diligence of the AWM! It's a great resource. Since undoubtedly Canberra is a small town, I was curious: have you ever met Ross Mallett?

They've been replaced with large slices of humble pie

Not that I'm aware of, though I'm sure that I'd have walked past him in the shops on at least one occasion. I have met the AWM's principle historian, Peter Stanley, though.
