Here's a better look. The forces of Feng Yu-hsiang (The Christian Warlord) attack Mao Tse-Tung from the south, while bandits and Mongol raiders close in from the north.

West Shanxi Area ought to be rennamed Yan'an, which was the main Communist base after the Long March.

Other than that names are on target, you even got the romanization method used int hat period right.

          A Happy WoW?

          From the Trade Environment Database
TsingTao Beer was founded in Qingdao China by Germans in 1903. Qingdao had been a German colony since 1898, when the Chinese government was forced to grant Germany a 99-year lease. The Chinese government had been pressured to grant German control of the city after two German missionaries were murdered in the region. Qingdao became Germany's largest military force in the region, garrisoning 4,000 troops and hosting a navel base. The original brewery sat across the street from a park where German soldiers were quartered. In the early 20th century beer was not a popular drink in China, but the demand of the German population made opening TsingTao Beer brewery a necessary. [source 1] In September of 1914 the Germans garrison in Qingdao was attacked by a Japanese invasion involving 23,000 men. The German garrison was able to hold back the Japanese attack for 2 months, but eventually lost control. In January of 1915 the Chinese entered an agreement with Japan that would eventually revert back control of Qingdao. The Germans were gone, but they had left a brewery that would eventually grow into a symbol of Chinese pride.

[Edit]PETA's going to shut down this forum! First curtsibling has Nazi's shooting and bombing deer. Now you have cossacks trampling them!

Btw, the map looks like you put a lot of thought into it — e.g. nice city density, inner Mongolia looks hard to traverse. [/Edit]

Perhaps it is PETA that should be the target!

Yup. It's very simple actually. You research arms deal techs with the British/French, White Russians, Germans/Italians, Americans, and/or Soviets. These serve as one set of pre-reqs. The other half of the pre-reqs are given every 5 years: Late 10's, Early and Late Twenties and Early and Late Thirties.

So on Jan 1925 you automatically get the Late 20's tech, along with everyone else. If you've researched an arms deal with the Germans/Italians, you now have both pre-requisites for the Junkers K53 tech. Whoever researches this tech first, gets 3 of the aircraft units delivered at his capital the next turn. Anyone who researches this tech later, gets nothing.

Similar events exist for all types of hardware from the various arms suppliers. This is the only way to get these types of units, they can't be built or replaced. The Kwantung Army (Japanese) have a separate tech tree for their heavy equipment, while the Communists just get money from Stalin.
