      • Oh Martin, my machine is fixed for a long time now - but at the moment I am busy doing class work to graduate come February, March. I might find more time next spring though ...

        • *crosses fingers for luck* This idea didn't die entirely, did it? It seems like it has nearly all the graphics if nothing else.

I'm not sure how to represent Gettysburg in Civ, but it could be verrry cool.

          • I'm afraid some of the units I contributed to this project are a tad outdated now in comparison to the units in games like Dictator 6 and Warlords of China and such. If someone were to rehash this one it would probably have units that look along these lines, mods I just made of some of Gareth's Warlords of China units.

            • Apparently this is dead.

I wouldn't mind taking up the torch, should anyone be interested, as I've some ideas I'd like to try and apply.

Units would be infantry, cavalry, and artillery - plus leaders.

Instead of trying to be distinct by state (though units such as the Iron Brigade or Irish brigade would get to stand out), there would be the following:

To use the description from Sid Meier's Antietam:

Green troops: Little or no combat experience.
Seasoned troops: Limited combat, in service for a while.
Veteran: Solid combat experience, some positive and some negative.
Crack troops: Solid combat experience, most of it positive.
Elite troops: The best troops in your army.

So for instance, the Texas Brigade or Iron Brigade would be "elite", and most of XI Corps would be "Seasoned".

              Thoughts?
