Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Why thank you Harry, I appreciate the compliment. I suppose it just comes down to practice makes perfect, along with the fact that Steph provided us all with the initial designs for the new infantry styles.
Speaking of which, I'd still love to make up the units Steph however I've been having trouble figuring out exactly which regiments exactly are going to be representing which Corps and Division, the exact regiment I mean. Once I straighten that out it will be no problem at all getting the rest of the units done.
attached is the current infantry unit preview - if you, Chris, would be so kind to furnish me with some more units I´d be eternally grateful
I would need infantry chaps resembling - more or less - these uniform styles:
I Corps, 3rd Division - Pennsylvania Infantry
II Corps, 1st Division - New York Infantry
II Corps, 2st Division - Massachusetts Infantry
II Corps, 3rd Division - New York Infantry
III Corps, 1st Division - Pennsylvania Infantry
III Corps, 2nd Division - New Jersey Infantry
V Corps, 1st Division - Massachusetts Infantry
V Corps, 2nd Division - Union Regular Infantry
V Corps, 3rd Division - Pennsylvania Reserves
VI Corps, 1st Division - New Jersey Infantry
VI Corps, 2nd Division - Vermont Infantry
VI Corps, 3rd Division - Pennsylvania Infantry
XI Corps, 1st Division - Ohio Infantry
XI Corps, 2nd Division - New York Infantry
XI Corps, 3rd Division - New York Infantry
XII Corps, 1st Division - New York Infantry
XII Corps, 2nd Division - New York Infantry
I´d also need some Union & Confederate Shaprshooters ...
Steph: I most certainly would love to help out. My question however is this, do you know exactly what regiments were in which Corps and Divisions? For example in the case of the "XII Corps, 2nd Division - New York Infantry" which exact regiment should I use? There were many New York regiments to choose from in this case and I want to be sure I get the correct one.
Curt: I will amend the backpacks and the infantrymen's trousers appropriately.
Also Steph I took a crack at a new style for infantry holding they're rifles upright and at an angle. I used the 17th and the 1st Virginia as an example.
Man, it almost makes me wish I'd bought Sid Meir's Gettysburg when I saw it on the used shelve a year or so ago. In any case Steph using that link you provided to the units that participated in the Battle of Gettysburg it shouldn't be that hard to come up with those units you requested.
Just out of curiosity Steph, how many turns will this scenario last?
About the timeframe, well, I guess hours or even 30 minute intervalls would do just fine. Any comments?
@ Exile: Well, I started to use those game infos for a starter - together with OOBs - but then I decided to go for units at divisional distinction; there is not too much use to have a unit for each brigade I think
There is a board wargame called Terrible Swift Sword, old SPI on a game system called Great Battles of the American Civil War by James Dunnigan. They used 20 - 30 minute turns and seemed to work very well sir. Same unit scale you are using, regiment level.
How will you simulate ranged artillery? Just curios unless you want that to be a mystery
Technologies (= reinforcements) shall be given via events, these "cities" won´t be able to actually build anything you could possibly use - this is, after all, a three-days battle.
Ah - great idea, thats how you do it. This is looking COOL

You really should dude, great game sytem, I have Antietam and Napoleon at Waterloo as well. If you like tactics these are the best I know of for this time period. Playing with 8 people is a trip online at the same time.
You have made peace with the evil Wheredehekowi tribe-we demand you tell us if they are a tribe that is playing this scenario.
We also agree not to crush you, if you teach us the tech of warp drive and mental telepathy and give 10 trinkets
Well if I should ever see it again beingofone I will definatley pick up a copy. In any case, I have here the first half of your order for the Army of the Potomac Steph. I used my own discresion in decinding which regiment represented the state you designated for each division, but I tried to base my decision on numerical representation on the battlefield when possible. I tried to use a mix of the two rifle positions, upright and straight ahead as you requested as well.
If you have any questions or comments on the units feel free to let me have them and I'd be glad to accomidate ya! If these are to your liking then expect the second half of the order in the next couple of days.
