Well on the Cydonia that we have discussed (Patine actually came up with the name Cydonia) I don't see there being much of a manufacturing base capable of churning out reliable weapons so I don't think new weapons that can be built will be researched. Perhaps one or two cities on the island will have a drydock capable of building small warships or freight vessels.

Perhaps I'll make it so the Cydonians can research international grants and bank loans that can help finance they're war. Other than that I'm open to any ideas.

BTW, Cydonia was a real major ancient Greek city-state in Crete (a large mediteranean island close to Cyprus as you put it). Any connection?

I didn't know that. I was more thinking a modification on the Phoenician port-city Sidon, but spelled in a more Hellenic way, as a way to come up with a fictitious Aegean Island. I honestly only knew of Knossos among ancient Cretan city-states, myself.

Wow. Thanks for the boost of confidence! It's really great to know that people are enjoying the scenario.

here is a screenshot from one onf my projects, i think i'm going to have to port it to ToT in order to make the walls impassible, plus i have to find better terrain and cities,

BE, you can find more "interior" terrain graphics in this ToT scenario, "The Horror of Dracula" by "Shelly" from SDC #3. It's available on the Cradle of Civilization site, here: http://coc.apolyton.net/scenarios/scn-shelley.shtml

Also, Harry Tuttle's "Atomic Eagle I" features indoor combat in the additional mission ("SS Assault Troop").

                Looks good so far

Thanks Jim BE, It can be found on the Spanish Civ site under fictional. I had included walls in the short scenario, but I warn you, it can be a real pain in the butt. Good luck and let me know if you need any help.

Here's a thought outloud, remember that scenario I have in development about the fictional "Emerald Wars" where a fictional Medeteranian island under Ottoman rule rebels at the turn of the last century?

Well what if I were to take the same concept for a sequel and change the location to the Western Caribean? Making it a conflict that pits American, British and Mexican forces against one another in a bid to controll a vital strategic island.

Could be a real good idea, Chris, but I'd feel sorry for the Mexicans. Their military prowess wasn't so hot, even then. LOL! I'll get back to you on that one.

How about a good Cuban scenario; Che and Castro. Maybe some missles end game.

I have a question regarding the American Civil War. I remember learning on this forum that very late in the war, with the crippling naval blockade taking its tole on the South, the Confederates were forced to issue brown coloured uniforms for a simple lack of the dye needed to produce grey and blue.

Does anyone know any more about this little bit of Civil War history? Such as when these brown uniforms were first seen and what regiments they were seen with? I'd appreciate any help with this matter.

I have had some interesting ideas about leonardo's workshop, can more than one civ have it? if so, than it could be used to simulate unit modifications (i.e. PZ-VIB to PZ-IVG)
it could open up an interesting aspect to research, and represent unit upgrades,

A wonder can only be built in one city. Hexediting can change the city but there is no way that a wonder can be in two cities at the same time. It would hardly be a wonder if several cities had one.

Isn't there a command in the ToT event language that allows to build or remove an improvement or wonder?? If yes, it could be put to good use...
