BTW, I wanted to reply to the thread at civfan, but simce changing computers (and losiing my old site cookies) I can't log in to CivFan. I have no idea what my password was, and I've changed e-mail address so I can't retrieve it. Anyone know Thunderfall well enough to get him to e-mail me a new password?

I've sent the same mail twice with no respond. DanQ, head of Apolyton.org, who has actually met the people in question, has agreed to forward the petition on our behalf. Let's see if it gives any results.

Without raising expectations too high, DanQ has reached the PR director of Firaxis which I failed to get a respond from. She said she would gladly(!) forward the letter to 2K and see what comes out of it. She will keep him (DanQ) posted, and he will let me know if anything comes out of it. But as we have met nothing but closed doors up to this point, I think it's important to curb any hopes of an immidiate breakthrough. 2K Games are the ones with the last word in this matter.

But here's to thinking positive!

As I posted in the parallel thread at CFC some weeks ago: The next step should be a thread in the official 2K forum (that is not so well known). We did this for our Civ 3 source code petition and received an answer (that they sell it, if we bring enough money). May be for the older Civ 2 source code things are standing better. Post a new thread in these forums! Again here is the link, that leads to the 2K forums (here the Civ 3 source code petition). Please notice that you have to register there first and an age of 99 is not accepted:

Make your own post in these forums and give it as much support as possible. As you can see in the Civ 3 petition, 2K responds to these postings.
