Well there's nothing wrong them them, quite the opposite. Rather I was looking for something that made use of the ToT colour pallet, which is the point of the update afterall .

Well, the first real batch of units from that said update was attatched to the very post you quoted from Martin. Its true there are many other units in the imperialism file I could post. Perhaps when I'm done with this updating of BMB and the new city styles I can get around to compliling a second batch of units together.

I'm affraid I'm in urgent need of a unit friends and its not an easy one to find and or make. Its a generic First World War mortar that I'm in need of. Now evidently mortar's came in literally all shapes and sizes during the conflict, so honestly anything that looks like a light and mobile extreme short range cannon will do nicely.
Attatched below is the kind of mortar I'm in need of, doesn't have to be a spot on match however.
I hope the forum can help me out in this hour of need....

What's the purpose of the unit? Do you want something heavy like the 25cm minenwerfer you've shown or more mobile 3" Stokes mortar, like the one further down the page you've found? The latter is as generic as you could make in WWI, but it was integrated with infantry units at a low level (IIRC detachments were attached to battalions).

I would be more than happy with a unit just like the 25cm minenwerfer. Its for the "Mortar" slot in Jesús Muñoz's classic "First World War" scenario which I am currently updating for the ToT pallet.
As I said... any contribution of a great war era mortar would be more than welcomed friends.
