Your design is ready for deployment to the main page. Sunday, I asked for the FTP password in the Admin forum and then messaged Markos. No response yet.

Once the main page is up, I will investigate applying your design to the rest of the site and re-examine the wiki.

Thanks for all your work guys. I can finally get to the information on ToT flags now. This weekend I can probably take a crack at creating my events file.

Quite. DanQ just sent me the new password, so I'll have something up later tonight when I get home.

DanQ fixed the subdomains, so what I uploaded yesterday shows up now. However, I still can't write to any of the subdirectories and the like. Hmm.

Oh, and our database no-workey. Weird. Could be related to the password change, but I can't update the database login password as long as I don't own most of the *.php files.

                    • It seems there has been progress, and we get the Wiki, whether we want it or not. Why do we even bother?

                      • Aaaw, geez. Sorry, Techumseh.

Look, your plan was to get a bunch of volunteers and have each do a section in HTML. I assure you that it would not scale, and it would require an enormous amount of unrewarding work from everyone. The system would break down before we reach twenty pages.

We can do exactly the same thing with a Wiki, except that the layout will be done automagically, nothing will be accidentally overwritten, no one will be able to lose twenty hours of work by accident, and so on.

I like your layout. I have appropriated a fair bit of it already, and I'll try to grab more.

I'll try to get skeletal section prototypes up tomorrow. You'll be able to poke around and intuit in no time.

                            Thanks.

Just give me a bit more time. I'll probably be disappearing off the net over the weekend, so a bit more time should not factor in those three days.

Uh, not in the default skin. You can do it if you switch to CologneBlue, but I advise against it.

Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
