That's what I intend to do (if I can figure this Wiki thing out ). I propose quality not quantity - there are a number of compilations of original work by the artists I listed above. I suggest that people stick to posting their graphics in the forum pages and leave the SLeague for collections of original work by recognised artists.

@H Tower - ANZAC and many others have made lots of nice icons derived from Nemo's originals, and I'll try to make a compilation of the best of these as a 'best of SLeague' mix. Let's leave this for the future and stick to the original work for now.

    • I've hit my first snag

I see there's a copyright disclaimer for image uploads. I can't upload anything unless I'm the copyright holder or I get the holder's agreement....

Now what? Not sure I know how to cantact Alex and Erwan for example.

you have a link to "Blitzkrieg", when you most likely should be pointing at "The Blitzkrieg Series"
        Thanks for that

It was just a temporary template I used though...

I love the new style, with alphabetical order and arranged by designer etc. Let's make this the biggest, best and most organized scenario site ever!

Cheers, and keep up the good work!

I had a small problem with that before too, until I read the Scenario League Copyright page. http://sleague.apolyton.net/index.ph...gue:Copyrights

Can I help? For the Freeciv project I've contacted a number of civ2 artists.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

We have a relaxed attitude towards copyright. With one exception -- [[:Category:Alex Mor|Alex Mor]] -- none of us are in this to make money. Rather, we are giving back to the games that we love.

When someone creates content for a game and makes it available online, they intend for it to be widely disseminated among those who would appreciate it. In most cases, you may presume implicit permission to forward and to highlight with full credit. The creators want to share with others what they enjoyed making, but they also want to be recognized for their art, their craft, and their achievements.

Please respect the work of others. Present it in a tasteful and aethetically pleasing manner. Integrate the creations into the larger picture, but also showcase every work as an achievement in its own right. Refer to people by their pseudonym of choice, and follow the spirit of their explicit instructions. Don't forget those who were before us, and keep their works available for those who will come after us.

                  The rules are:
*be respectful and appreciative; honour fellow creators
*be reasonable; it is okay to presume certain things
*do not be stupid; Britney Spears mp3s do not belong here
*give proper credit; it is plagiarism if you don't

So, am I going to get flamed for this?

                    • well if we're going to single out Alex Mor, we might want to write a little on what we can do with his work?

                      • Pretty much everything. Historically, Alex used to sell his scenarios. He later abandoned the approach.

                        Hmm.

                        • So where does this leave us? Why have the upload disclaimer if members ignore it?

Should all authors/artists be contacted for their approval before uploading?

I don't see why scenarios or graphics that are already hosted by other public civ2 sites, can't be hosted at SL.

To contact all members before uploading would leave too much bureacracy and ultimately be very ineffective for a dynamic site such as the new SL site will be.

And I agree, the upload disclaimer is maybe a bit improper as it is, and probably will not be, respected.

It's there by default and I haven't investigated how to edit it yet. Ah, found it. It's now "I affirm that I am supposed to be uploading this" instead.

                              No.
