    I have it Heresson.

A bit too late as you appear to have done it yourself. He also has excellent replacement terrain and units...

The health bar unit colours are unfortunately the only eyesore that remains, so I tend to include civ flags on ToT unit graphics to aid identification. I guess my use of divisional signs for the Market Garden units was a bit too obscure though..

Strange. Someone else but me lost his ToT.
          Who was that?

Because I use frames , you'll find it tough to navigate the rest of the site with that link. This is the link to the main page: http://users.tpg.com.au/jpwbeest/

It sounds like it's the clutter caused by the large health bars that seems to bother him more. The health bars are probably my biggest gripe with ToT too – because everything else can be changed. As a result, I go for the minimalist approach with mine and strip off those unnecessary grey borders. That said, the health bar issue is more than offset by ToT's advantages.

The terrain graphics for Market-Garden I found a bit rough on the eyes – I ended up changing them. I can now more easily differentiate the units from the background. Maybe that's a problem for some people.

              @ fairline

What I am using to play Market Garden are:

Units by fairline, the superb ones that come with the scen.
Terrain by Catfish, selecting the least cluttered icon for each type of terrain
All screens by Catfish, mainly his "old time" versions.
Health bars modified by me, thanks to the good advice of many people.

The TOT game screen looks uncluttered, crisp, light and and as good as any that I have seen. I have even resigned myself to the potato masher health bars now that the heads are distinctively blue and red. White edging helps to bring out the colors.

Everything is copacetic, thanks to advice from many individuals.

                @ Catfish

I think we just had a cross post.

Thank you for the new link. You do indeed have a top quality site.

Your terrain icons transformed the game map beyond recognition. It really does look super. Absolutely marvelous work on your part.

Exactly, fairlines units are so well camouflaged that they got lost, especially in the forests. That's how realistic they are!

                  @Agricola:

Thanks for the compliment. The site's basically a place where I can dump some of my Civ2 files for public use – handy off-site backup, too. Great to see that you're able to replace ToT's graphics with something more suited to your tastes.

I bought myself ToT in the net. Funny thing is that only after buying it, I noticed that the guy selling it is from my hometown. Perhaps I'm buying my own ToT?
It'll take me some time to get the thing. But if there are no big differences, I think I may finish current projects in ToT already.

Own it. I also use my ToT disc to play MGE...I hate that stupid intro movie that you have to skip by when you use the regular Civ disk.

By the way, does anyone else have problems getting the City.gif to work in ToT? It always just shows up like MGE and not ToT.

I get no movie with MGE, and i needed to get a no-cd patch because my disc is waay too scratched and makes the cd drive spin so fast it can be heard from a block away. (and of course, it's much more comfortable when you don't have to put a cd in every time)

I've also gotten it to give up on asking me the language i'm going to play it, as well.

That Civ2 deluxe set for ToT looks pretty neat.

Hm, I bought myself a new (original) ToT.
It's a Polish version (can I download english one somewhere?).
How can I convert fw savs/scns to tot?
why isn't there a scn editor?

                              And a very annoying problem.
The game crushes. "civ2 caused an error in xiv2. exe..."
At first, it happened at a specific turn in my game.
                              Each time I reached it
So I started a new game.
But it happened again. To be precise, it happens each time a new city is built by me - or is found by a goody hut, as I learned. It makes the game impossible for me to continue.
                              What can be wrong?
Again, the game is original, unscratched I think, there was no problem during the set up...
                              uh. uh. uh.
The game seems a bit harder than normal civ2.
Or am I wrong? Anyway, I'm not used to it, so game at god level (the first one) didn't go very good for me, especially that I was locked on a not very fertile penisula near north pole.
