  • A Playtest Too Far

I'm looking for serious playtesters for my new scenario. It's for Test of Time, naturally. Operation Market-Garden is underway!

Some features: units by Fairline, blowable bridges on major rivers and canals, canals passable only by infantry (except at bridges), unpredictable timing of airborne reinforcements, allied and German airpower, including jets, working ferries, optional allied airborne plans*, and variable German starting postions*.

(* -not implemented in the playtest version)

Please let me know if you're interested and are willing to make a committment to actually play it and post comments on this thread. Post your email here or PM me with it.

I hope to release the full Monty by Sept 17 - the 60th anniversary of the operation. Happy Landings!

I'd like to try it but will it play correctly on my CIVII MGE?

If not, is there a patch or do I have to buy TOT?

You can download a playtest version here:
CNET Download provides free downloads for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices across all categories of software and apps, including security, utilities, games, video and browsers

It's ten bucks US for the full version, which I recommend right off the bat, since the playtest version only lasts about 10 turns or so.

Any chance of posting the unit file?

                I have to agree.

With all the extra terrain files, etc out there to change things, it becomes quite the game.

I picked up my boxed copy for $3.00.

                Cheers!

Ah, the master ToT'er is back! Great to see this one, Tech! Wish I could volunteer, but my PC is still on shaky ground. Hopefully, I'll be getting a new one shortly.

[Troll]Btw, do you really think this should be done in ToT?[/Troll]

I can't wait to play this one, whenever it comes out. I had actually paited a DC3/ C47 back in March 2003, with a similar theme in mind... it looks kinda old now. Please put your back to it, ye brother of Tenskwatawa!

                        Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately, most of us who spend their summers in the Canadian woods are connected to the internet via two tin cans and a long string. The ~97 Meg TOT file would require roughly 10 hours to download. That is a no go as she who must be obeyed needs her hourly e-mail fix.

E-bay was cheaper, even with $6 US S&H. Will let you know when I get it.

Sounds great Techumseh. I'd love to playtest but unfortunately I'm still in Florida (almost six weeks since I played Civ2).

BTW how's Warlords of China coming along?
