  • Coming Soon - RHODESIA!

    That's Right!

After observing the excellent work of others here on this forum, I've decided to start my first scenario! The scenario is a remake of Rhodesia UDI by Len Morison.

Who's side are you willing to take?

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Alright, folks! I've got some graphics to start with, but I'm accepting all the help I can get. A list of what I'm looking for (in the fashion of fairline's excellent units, please!) will soon follow.

          Praise from Caeser.

Right now, I'm searching for good topographic and climate maps for Southern Africa, unless someone has already created (or is interested in creating) a giga Southern Africa map.

As well, I am looking for new units to replace some of the old ones, all shown in the attachment at the bottom of this message.

A white infantryman in khaki uniform,
          A Selous Scouts armored vehicle,
          A Hawker Hunter fighter jet,
          And a reece.

Also, some of the other units I'm looking for are a black farmer, a white engineer, a black guerilla infantry type unit. (I don't know if Curt's black Vendetta infantryman would fit the bill as being guerilla, as it looks like he has a pretty well-tailored uniform )

I hope you all don't mind, I'm going to be asking for a lot of unique graphics here, since (black) African conflicts are not frequently done over in Civ2.

Placing units will be my last priority. Right now, I need to find a good Civ map to start terraforming and placing cities on.

*cough* my quick map making guide *cough*

It's got map making tips, and links to a few useful map sites.

                @rmsharpe:
If you like the fairline style of infantry unit, I can have a crack at the white infantryman, recce and guerrila?

The Selous Scouts armored vehicle would look perfect perfect in your unit style, Jim!

Any more specifications on that car type? I would appreciate it to try to make any kind of effort ...

I don't know much about the Rhodesian army, so I'm not sure what kind of cars they used.

Starts at the UDI, I'm not sure when to end it though.

Well, looks like they used armored scout cars and a bunch of mocked up stuff. I'd retrofit a few jeeps here on the forums.
