  • I got Civ2 TOT today ...

Hi folks, I just installed TOT on my computer.

What are the essentian must-be scenarios?

    Thanks for your advice

You should probably get the Time Threat Paradox which must be installed BEFORE you install the v1.1 patch (or the patch re-installed after). Both are available at the Cradle: http://coc.apolyton.net

Then, apart from the scenarios at CoC, there are techumseh's scenarios:

    and Kestrel's modpacks:

As for the rest, there are a few in development, particularly Boco's El Aurens and curtsibling's Dictator 3 and Bitterfrost.

I can't really make any judgements on the "must-be" part, but this'll get you started.

Be sure to do a complete job of editing the files before playing the scenarios, otherwise you get the wrong gifs.
I think TOT is the best version of Civ. Also Europe in Flames if you like WW2 and all of Curt's scenarios.

Hey, looks like EA increased the number of potential ToT owners Boco. Nice work!

As well as the superb El Aurens, Tech's Russian Civil War and Roman Civil War scenarios are 'musts'. Curt's Bitterfrost is sure to be a 'must-play' as well, when it's released. Tech had a couple of really nice scenario's under development as well, but I haven't heard from him in some time. Anyone know where he is? Boco?

If you havent played Kullivans ancient empires yet, you should - its now available as a TOT scenario.

                    I enjoyed Daumens "Great Game"

I also recommened Time Threat Paradox.

Didn't Tech start working on a 'Warlards of China' scen?

Amazon? Isn't that only for the US? I'm located in Europe. Norway to be more specific.

TOT has more unit slots, possibly more tech slots and for sure more event capabilities. Some people have used the multiple map feature as well to good effect. There is probably more that I can't think of right now.

This is an extra reason for me to add the finishing touches to Bitterfrost ToT and get it out as a full version!
