You're at total war with the evil americans, it's a fight to the death! You might also want to honour your agreement with the french and cede some of your cities close to the roman border... That's about it, I think...

Thanks for the reliable comment, I don't think I have ever held up the game for more then a week...........before now

Now that you mention the roman alliance, it reminds me that I should mention that we had an ambassador visit the Roman city of Kabulantium (the Mongol city of Kabul) and note that you have turned it into an Alpine Resort, should you wish to return it to Mongolia you can leave the skiers there, if we are forced to take it back I assume the Skiers will also be forced to evacuate

Hey guys, did you notice that this game celebrated its six anniversary?

Not sure if that is a cause for celebration or a reason to cringe! But it is a good thing I guess, if only to prove how stubborn we are in that we haven't given up on it.

If I remember correctly, our current seven players in order of succession:
Kengel (the only original left)
Mostly Harmless
Excel
DaveV/Sparrowhawk
Carolus Rex
La Fayette

And most of us have been involved for several years, I wonder if Civ2 will survive on all 7 computers when Civ4 comes out?

(My computer would cough and sputter if I even considered loading a program as new as Civ4 on it, and from what I know of La Fayette's his already has ).

6 years of one game, who would have thought it!!

I just tried to install civ3, but my monitor gave up in respect to the required resolution

As long as it is possible to play civ2 on computers, and as long as there are at least seven people being able to play it (we ) this game will go on

Maybe we all will be very old guys at the end of that game

Apparently there's a new Hotmail policy now... As I hadn't logged in for more than 30 days, all my messages were deleted...

I'm quite a collector, so that means that all the old Apolyton e-mails I had archived are gone...

Anyway, the account is still active and saves can still be sent to the same e-mail address...

Speaking about saves; where is our game now?

More likely the Romans; I remember those two being friends already when I approached them to join their party. The French would be a good second choice, and I could sub the turn if so directed.
