I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.Comment

We're all in the clear in South Australia. Victoria is coping it pretty hard though. All that hot weather I was talking about the other week, they get a few days after we do. One part of Vic had something like 48C temps and strong winds. News footage show small towns where there is just no houses left. The fronts just travelled so quickly in the wind that whole communities were gone in just a few minutes, completely to the ground.

EDIT: Forgot to say, the delay in my game playing was due to my fiancee having a knee reconstruction on the weekend. Didn't get a lot of spare time between taking her round to doctors and specialists, and spending the weekend at the hospital. All good now though. Still has a little pain, but that's to be expected. Should be up and around again in a couple of weeks they reckon.Comment
