Just North of the Indians. I spread east to take out the Yankees. and get a coastal city.

My science is backwards, I'm restricting myself to the same level of technology as everyone else nearby as attempting to take a lead is negated by them trading with each other. At least by waiting I can get some technologies on the cheap in the end. :/

The store of cash is useful for upgrading units though.

in that case my caravel missed you to the south and my explorer to the north... oh well, in 10 turns latest i'll meet you. the circumnavigation is just 3 turns away (when the explorer uncovers the rest of the longitudes)

alexander has a shockingly high GNP. what do you think about "trimming" his capacity by destroying some of his cities?
