i met quite a few civs on 3 other continents, all of which have been researching in different paths. that was quite nice
the trouble of my continent is that there are hardly and decent resources, especially no happiness ones. there's a silk, but that's about it

my starting position is quite nice and i have about 5 high-potential cities. but as said earlier, i will have to rely on trading resources to be happy and healthy.
where is your coastal city actually? i came from the west at equator level, sailed south and hit the ice bergs in indian waters. and my other caravel came from east slightly above equator and sailed north... and was blocked by greek icy waters. both have to turn around now...
