Out of curiosity what average tech level are we at now? Are we around the 1840 tech level or are we ahead of it as usual in these games?

from what i can see, pretty much all have steam power, democracy, steel and corporation. railroads is not yet far spread out and assembly line seems to be the next target of most.
i'm ahead in two branches but completely lagging in another one. all together, i'm assuming that i'm tech leader, followed by prov/witt and geomodder. but the other two teams have quite a momentum...
