[PBEM] Sign-up for first Civ4 PBEM: co-op teams

hi guys

ok, finally it is a-go!

these are the settings:
WORLD: large pangea, temperate, everything else random
RULES: quick game speed, ancient start
TEAMS: 2 teams of 5 players. 4 human, 1 AI with:
* team 1: AI alexander, sabrewolf, jshelr, snoopy369, MFCamillus
* team 2: AI saladin, Platypus Rex, LordNuclear, smellymummy, Mickeyj

civs were random, except for those who wrote their wishes.


now there are a few issues:
- please post your email address in the thread if you have not yet done so.

- by mistake i wrote Rommel2D instead of Lord Nuclear. sorry about that! just whoever should send to LN will have to indeed send it to him and NOT to rommel!! Lord Nuclear then can rename his civ correctly.

- you can all rename yourself, change your password, etc by pressing ALT-D once you have loaded your turn. i suggest you do so

- the order of the players: well, i don't know who (of the north americans) plays when (i guess i should have enquired that earlier) so i just chose the teams in the order of the teams. if it turns out to be rubbish (eg a late night player before others in the US), maybe we should consider a restart.

- the smaller & faster game will begin once this one settles in.

anyone care to post how co-op works?

smelly: it's similar to a permanent alliance. you share technologies (two people researching the same makes the research faster), have instant line of sight in all friendly civs and profit from world wonder effects (of course only those that have more than city-wide bonuses).

This game hasn't even been round a turn and unfortunatly I'm going to have to put a spanner in the works
I've got to go to China tomorrow on business and will be away for 10 days feel free to replace me if you aren't prepared to wait.

ok, after seeing the overwhelming motivation within this thread and that many PBEMs had to restart because the patch buggered up everything, i propose we restart.
however only those who are dedicated enough. which implies:
- reliable ability to play (once or twice a week is too little)
- tracker posts (to follow the game)
- motivation

so, who's up?
