common snoopy, you know we're all addicts and will play two games

hm, how about 3 games where everybody plays 2 of them.

3 games = 18 slots
8 people à 2 games = 16 players

two people would have to "sacrifice" themselves to play a 3rd game


i wouldn't mind being in the following types:

- game one: 2+2+2 humans + 2 AI
- game two: 3+3 humans, no AI
ideally "all goes" games

the third game could be another one of either type or something new (a builder game like chris proposes?). in fact, if nobody wants to play 3 games (yeah, sure!), it could be a 2+2 game.

GAME ONE
team black (Snoopy369, Sabrewolf, Jshelr)
vs
team white (PlatyRex, LordNuclear, smellymummy)

GAME TWO
team yellow (Snoopy369, smellymummy)
vs
team red (sabrewolf, jshelr)
vs
team green (ChrisiusMaximus, Mickeyj)
vs
team gray (2 AI civs)

GAME THREE
some combination of:
Lord Nuclear, PlatypusRes, mickeyj, ChrisiusMaximus
+ maybe 2 players for the 3rd game
+ maybe 2-3 AI player to even out the teams


like this everybody should be at least once with every other player. players within teams can ofcourse be switched around, as well as the team names of course

once we have the positions filled, we can start two more threads for the teams to discuss world settings and potential rule changes...

everything looks good, you can count me in for two games.

i'm just not sure about delaying for practice days. if we're all going to start by november X (isnt it the 5th or 6th?) that leaves us plenty of time on our own to learn civ4 enough, right?

Game 2 seems fine to me.

What about a no war type of game for game 3, it'd be a good way to learn the mechanics of the game without having to worry about war?

ok, it looks like most will play two games and mickeyj and chrisius only want one.

so that means we'll be just fine with two games (14 slots), one game with 8, one with 6?

however, i have bad news. a freind with the same configuration as i have could not get civ4 running due to known problems. i hope it will work on my alternate system, but if not, i'll have to buy a new graphics card. i'll keep you posted...
