btw, i installed the patch on my other comp and i too can't open the turn 405 that way. Oddly enough another pbem in the forum(warolords ii) doesn't seem to have problems, and they patched too if i read it right.
I hope it's not because of my special exe...Comment

I wasn't using it on my other comp. But maybe the game is sorta corrupted since i first used it? I can think of a complicated way to test this, i'm doing that now.Comment

lex has responded to Sir Ralph's question. Apparantly the admin password needs to be cleared for the saves to work with the patch. Presumably this will be down to Claus. Sorry for "disappearing" yesterday evening, but my headaches were killing me ... I had my two nephews jumping and coughing on me for the whole weekend, resulting in me spending two days in bed with the flu ... in my holidays, can you imagine that?
