This turn, we discover the Printing Press, and take out an elephant that was threatening our copper and a maceman that was about to pillage our wheat farms.

In other news, I get excited about my troops being so close to the Greek city, that I forget to pillage their ivory resource.

We're looking good so far. (Save for the loss of New York. )

I found out a musketman will not beat a longbowman

We finally remember to pillage the ivory camp of the Greeks. They probably have another one somewhere though...

We also lay siege to Sparta: one of their longbowmen is killed by our grenadier. We also have built our first Knight. May prove useful here.

Nothing much else to report, I think.

I killed off a Greek mini-stack advancing towards Washington: elephant, crossbowman and catapult - before it could do any damage.

Also, I took Sparta. The problem is it is enveloped in Greek culture, so I am not sure we can keep it without conquering the rest of Greece. The only reason I didn't burn it to the ground is that it is a Taoist holy city, and brings in gold. So I hope you can hold on for a while as we deal with the Greeks. (Although if you can provide any help at all with troops, there is never such a thing as too large an attack force. I am running a little thin on units. )

Did you see that Roman attack stack that was about to cross my border turn tail when I upgraded two axemen in Neapolis to Grenadiers? A pity they got away, too, I would have sent them all to hell for ever thinking of attacking us.
