I totally object to that. Please just let India work it out in peace. If they miss 20 turns then OK we look for a sub. But plenty of teams have missed 5 -8-10 turns without being replaced

5 turns is fine, but a temp sub (not a neighbor) would be best.

I do believe India is set at 100% money, so no lost beakers from not setting the next tech, but still 5 turns is much and if they become 10 it is even much.

Ah, it does not work this way. If they were researching and completed the research, then they lose beakers for sure. Come on, India, get on your feet, raise the guard, move, dont stay in the corner.

Yes please India select a tech at least, then you can return to Cold Turkey time if you like. But as Russia says if they are slider-set at 100% Gold then all of this discussion of subbing is pointless because there is no harm done whatsoever. Anyone can easily see their GPT in the diplo window. If it is something like 100+ GPT then they are running 100% Gold and this discussion should end. If it is like 10 GPT then they do need a tech choice at least so they are not wasting $$. I would select a tech that is far far in the future so that this problem doesnt come up again in 3 turns.

And Inca is right that if anyone is going to log in for India and sub for them it is for sure not supposed to be a neighbor. It should be somebody that at a minimum, does not share a border with them.

I don't want to sub for india, I just offered to set a research path for them. Being a neighbor or not, I have full view on their empire anyway, that's why I know that they had finished a tech in last turn and now they are researching nothing.
