I played many hours ago. We are paused for America, but they are stuck in diplo screen. I had to wait for Azteca, and America had to wait for me. Azteca left me 3 hours to play, and America is left with 30 mins.

That is why I am asking to swap with Azteca. It should uncomplicate the turns and elimminate the need for pauses... hopefully

It actually wasn't the Aztec leader's fault. Azteca was on vacation last time the turn was being played (what, two weeks ago...). France was supposed to sub for him, but France had to leave for a couple days too. I ended up playing both France's and Azteca's turn during that time. When France came back I thought he was going to play Azteca's turn, and he thought I was going to play. And as a result it didn't get played, leaving the Ottomans down time.

The Aztecs are now on vacation for the next two weeks as he detailed above, so France and I have been asked to sub again. As far as I'm concerned, Ottomans swapping with the Aztecs in turn order is fine with me.

OK then. Based on that I will play first next turn, swapping turn order. So I will be home and able to play in about 3-4 hours, giving Azteca and America well over 24 hours to play

It was my fault.
The server was unreachable (my internet down) for about 12 hours.
I just should have used an earlier save instead of the one I made when I arrived home, 2 hours before the end of the turn.

anyway, I see that Israel is now moving in so I guess that he's unpausing and America then can play.

Why swapping turn order? I thought that everybody had played now!?

I don't see the need to swap the turn order either; I played my turn just now.

I believe the point to the proposed swap is to reduce the sequencing from three nations to two nation blocs. As it is, getting Aztecs, then Ottomans, then Americans to sequence properly is turning out to be more problematic than one might expect.

So that I can play as soon as I get home. Anyway the swap doesn't involve America since they have to move second regardless. The only effect is that I don't have to wait for Azteca, so we won't have to pause as much anymore. That's the reason for the swap.
