France, Germany and Inca seem to be the top contenders for the win.
Ottomans and Russia are steaming up rapidly and are in the sub-top, together with England and Israel.
Out of these 7 civs only England is rapidly losing terrain, not in the last place b/c of losing quite some points b/c of no vote penalties.

Hmmph, maybe if I'd started at the beginning instead of taking over recently I'd be a bit farther up there.

I don't know yet. It does seem like you are playing on a world map which makes me more inclined to. But maybe not. I certainly don't have the energy to devote to posting and diplomacy in another game, but we'll see. At the very least I hope to help you guys along, maybe I can help with the map.

The real France (DoE) here. Got a connection at the airport, before we fly home. There has been some confusion over the peace deal between the sub and me. He was not aware of the outcome of the Guardaia discussion. I am back home later today and can accept the peace deal and hand the cities over. Thanks.

The big one is over. Looks like some flare up with Japan & India, but with only two real combatants (Russia doesn't appear to have any troops involved, I could be wrong though) a regular timer should be sufficient. Please make the switch, 48 hours is murder.
