  • It seems a new turn just started and its about time for me to go to bed so Im playing now... Turn order makes me ... I understand why we need it, its just really annoying and inconvenient with the turn this short.

Anyway Vikings for making the game fun ... Peace is so dull

    • I have missed my turn, because of the Russia waiting to war on Neandor. I will enter now first to make up for it. Or that would give the others a double move advantage against us.

I could have taken it yesterday, but that delay from Russia made this impossible.

        I think this is fair.

Elizabeth, when can you login? If it's more than say 8 hours away we may need an extended timer.
The question of whether modern humans and Neanderthals mated when they encountered each other 40,000 years ago is highly controversial.

Yes, and I must say what a brilliant sub/replacement you have become.

Ah damn, just saw this. So that means I can't play until about 15 hours time. Holds the whole queue up but turn order is really important as history has taught us and it is better to wait than waste a week in an all out OOC war!! LOL

                FIRST: England
SECOND: Ottoman OR Neander (followed by the other)
                THIRD: Russia
FOURTH: France OR Viking (followed by the other)
Guys, this is clearly not working even now. I see the Vikings did their turn first, then Ottomans and England and Neandor still not.

I am proposing you a more practical order - England, Ottomans and Russia move in the first half of the timer without specific order, and once we are finished, then Neandor,Vikings and France can take their turns as they like it.

For this to happen, all the remaining parties in this turn must agree to not take advantage avoiding every possible contact between soldiers and the next turn we start our turns as blocks.

Dont listen to them - they are trying to win you on their dark side even OOC

                    This is getting confusing.

It may be better, and simpler, if all civs of one alliance play first, and the other second. That is sort of what we had going.

Agree completely! Great minds think alike. I just posted essentially the same above.

                      • I just played my turn.

It is not confusing at all

Mind you I'm not advancing on anyone so Catherine can go before Neander next turn (but not if those Arctic Galleons land troops this turn and then attack next turn - but of course!)

                            • The turn timer is winding down again, and I need to leave in an hour for the evening. Russia has yet to play. I am playing my turn now. I do not believe that Russia and France have any units in contact, so this should not be an issue.

                              (edit)

Russia is playing now. I can wait a few more minutes.

                              • With Russian units approaching I think it fair for me to login again to see the state of play after Russia's current move because Russia is jumping ahead of me in turn order next turn.

The thing I don't like about clumping the turn orders into bloc A and B is that it creates a mentality in everyone's mind of simplistic blocs.

The diplpmacy and reality is more complex than that. For example the Neander and Turks are NOT at war but with the bloc mentaility it creates an impression that England, Russia and Turks versus Vikings, France and Neander which is totally wrong. And things can change. I much prefer my approach where the turn order develops organically from the changing events in the game (like my new alliance with England for example.... JUST JOKING!!!)

Also, what I am saying fits in with the players availabilty to play their turn.
