  • Am happy and far enough away to sub for Mongolia if you send me the pw.
The question of whether modern humans and Neanderthals mated when they encountered each other 40,000 years ago is highly controversial.

    • Mongolia: please send the password to Germany! I'm away for the weekend myself!

Guys, I'm off to Paris this weekend (till sunday late).
I'll take my laptop, but I'm not going to be connected a lot, and perhaps I won't even be able to connect at all.

Ozzy knows how to get on my server, he can fix things if needed. Thus contact him if you need a pause / reload / timer increase / etc.
Voting results will be lifted over the weekend. When I'm back there is no mercy time for anybody left!

I have not got the password.

There are lots of Barb Axes East of Russia and Mongolia so I hope he's OK.

        • BIG PROBLEM GUYS. Karakorom has been taken by the barbs.

I never got the password to sub for him so I don't know what we should do but at least reload the current turn if we hear from him soon.

            • Good call. As much as I like China and Russia, we don't need them to have a void to expand into.

              • Reloading now. I'll look into Mongolia to see if 2 turns (3 now) is enough or if they need more.

                • I have reloaded 3 turns back. Karakorum is under attack by 2 warriors and 2 axes, one axe is damaged to 2.2 strength. There was 1 warrior in Karakorum. I have brought an extra archer in. In 4 turns a chariot is ready.

I hope this will be good enough.... I think that one warrior and one archer (with city defense) should be able to defend the city against 2 warriors and 1 axe and one 2.2 strength axe. Reloading more won't make much of a different I guess. Unless we reload 4 more turns back so that we can start to work on the chariot sooner.

                  Anyway, game up.

                  • Let's see what happens. Barbs versus Mongols. Doesn't get much better than that.

                    • Do the Mongols just have that one city? Very sad that Russia is very powerful and active, and China is very powerful and active, and the player in the middle supposed to keep them in check seems to have disappeared... *sigh*

No, they have two cities from what my warrior has explored.

And yes, Russia has free reign expanding quickly towards Mongolia

                        • I am subbing as Mongolia and just played the current turn. Two Barb Axes and two Warriors are on top of his cap which has one Archer and Warrior, with a Chariot next turn I just slaved.

I don't mind disclosing this as I might fail in saving him, which was the whole point of the reload.

Let's see what happens next turn.

                          • Sadly I dont have military close enough to reach Karakorum in the next few turns. But if after this wave of barbs a second wave is coming, I will send chariots.

Also, we need a confirmation from the player that he intend and will play the game. Otherwise we must look for a sub, as I agree their role is very, very important for the balance in Asia. In Europe too

                            • I will go even further and state that if someone - the original player or a replacement starts to play Mongolia proper, in the sake of fair play, I will give them 50 turns one-side Non-Aggression Pact, giving them the opportunity to build as much cities as they can and develop without fearing of me attacking them. Despite they did a very good job claiming with 2 cities and their creative trait almost all the good available land up to Ural mountains.

                              • That's nice, Russia! you're not a real Putin 8)
I think he's in good spritit, he just most probably made an error sending the password.
He finished the pyramids, after that his city was idle for at least 7 turns. He could have had 2 chariots in that time!

@Germany: good job slaving a chariot! I looked at it, but thought it would be impossible in time...! (1 turn revolution, then 1 turn needed at least to get to the right production tresshold to slave the rest. Apparently I'm a n00b.)
Did the axe recover from 2.2 strength?)
