    Server down again.

I notice you have missed a lot of turns lately. Have you lost interest in the game? I know I have a rather commanding lead... you don't need to keep going for my sake. I could always (I hope) finish it as a SP game.

Sorry, the box is really acting up on me. It appears to be off again! I don't know we are losing power for very short durations or what, but this is frustrating sorry. I'll get the game back up ASAP.

Oh and no I'm definitely not losing interest, sorry. I was away at a conference last week and I thought I'd be fine keeping up with the game, but my internet connection was much more spotty than I thought it would be. I don't mind losing, in fact expected to do so. I'm good learning the rest of the way. I appreciate you sticking with me through all the technical difficulties.

Okay the game is back up finally. Not only was the box messed up for some reason, but once I got that back up and running the router was acting up, too. Anyhow we're back in business!

I'm looking forward to watching you battle your homeland when you revolt.

heh, me too. The revolution is so damn hard usually I just don't bother. But I'm doing so well, I figure I'll give it a shot.

Hmm, I wasn't aware you could win without revolting! Guess I have a lot to learn, heh.

Oh, I wouldn't bother with winning. I'd just start a new game.

Damn, sorry about that. I have a hunch as to what the problem is. Hudson was running on port 2056 which is the default port (Cabot, which as you said was my other game, is on 2057). I think when I ran Civ IV or Col from my laptop while the pitboss server was running on my linux machine (both behind the same router) they'd take over the port and the pitboss server wouldn't be able to reconnect. That's my guess anyway. So I've changed the port to 2058 in the hopes that this doesn't happen again. Back up once again. Sorry!!!

Wow, I do NOT understand that at all. I keep getting the server broke connection error and only on Hudson. Very strange... I'll get it back up ASAP

Since I was craving some Colonization with the game down for a while I started up a single player game this weekend. I did quite well and just this morning I declared independence and easily won the revolution. I was expecting it to be much harder than it was. My preparations were quite overkill.

That being said, my SP game was the ultimate in maxed out efficiency. Everything was perfect. I thought I was doing pretty damn well in our game, but now that I've played a near perfect game I realize just how far away from that I am with our game. I have a lot to do to catch up!
