As everyone seems ok about it I will destroy France.

FYI. I have explored the region that surrounds Paris and all that remains of France is 1 size 2 city and 4 axemen. Of her original cities I captured Paris, barbarians certainly got another and I have discovered city ruins which might have been French once. I do not think them viable for a sub.

France appears to only have 1 neighbour, much closer than me, and that is the Maya. They do not talk and I have not seen any of their troops.

I will let you decide if I must raze it or can keep it. I may raze it regardless as it is no great prize. Please post your views on this.

I'd say: raze that 1 remaining city.

Either disband those axemen and raize the city or in case you have to fight for it keep it.

I restarted my server from a distance (was slow) and now I can't connect to it

I don't know your time zone so hard to tell when you posted that. Can you give an estimated time back up in GMT?

Every post shows the timestamp on which it was posted in your timezone just above the name of the poster! Add 7 hours to that! (so it's above Garfield )

Yes, I did a windows update on my server and now it won't recover.
I'm trying to get an old save (early this turn) loaded on my other server, but it's not reachable right now

Never mind: I was able to get the other server backup (reloaded an old configuration).

So now the game is continueing where it originally left, nothing is lost!
