We have spied this land to our east. It looks fertile and worth settling on.

    • Incans, please note we have made no orders for where people settle , nor claimed land we dont inhabit ourselves. The small portion of south Korea we have settled is clearly marked on map, we live there it is our cities.

We marked on map some good land for our Taoist brothers to settle on and even left a spot for non taoists.

We are not like others who are greedy and dont share. we share maps all the time, we share techs with others to aid them in war times. we make gifts to nations to help them in war times, we produce diplomatic information that may appear one way but long term gets us to our goals.

We wanted peace between england and its neighbours we are glad to see that achieved.
We want the world to accept Taoism , Inca has done so and now england too look for it.

We offered maps of our discoveries that no one else does.

Where is the persian map of new russia.

Where is the natives map of what they have discovered.

Where is the Indians map of their sailings.

Be not fooled. Korea is here for the worlds betterment, all hidden things are bad. Keep it all out in the open.

As soon as at least the following nations have acknowledged New Russia, we will share the maps: India, England, Korea, Byzantium, Mali and the Natives.

        • Unnamed Korean Leader,

As you can see India will not make this promise.
Then we will not share our maps.
You share your maps, that's friendly but also plain stupid.
I had discovered your continent many years ago already, but since it was too far from Persia I ignored it.

India is acting according to the true Hastogianistic spirit!
We admire them for that. We will also live up to the wisdom of Hastog. Why would we share? What are the benefits for us?

It serves no goals to share our knowledge with you.
You're such a good sailor, right, why don't you sail there yourself and share it yourself?

            • Aftler the breaching of the walls of Hastogsburg the morale of the Russian defenders was completely gone.
Some Persian generals expect this morale to return soon again, especially after they are able to repair the walls.

              Losses of Persia:
              1000 catapults
              30,000 macemen
              10,000 crossbowmen
              40,000 Pikemen
              10,000 Longbowmen

Total losses: 90,000 soldiers, 1000 catapults

              Losses of Russia:
              30,000 crossbowmen
              50,000 macemen
              40,000 Longbowmen
              20,000 War Elephants
              30,000 Knight
              4000 catapults

Total losses: 150,000 soldiers, 400 catapults

Hastograd remains in Russian hands, defended by 16 catapults. (1 cat with strength 0.8)
Some Persian armies claim that Dominika died in action. This has not been confirmed yet.

On close distance Russia has at least 40,000 knights and 100 catapults available.

The remaining Persian army consists of:
              100 catapuls
              90,000 macemen
              10,000 crossbowmen
              90,000 longbowmen

              • Song dedicated to Dominika

The Persian band "Coldplay" made a song after the battle of The Hastogsburg and dedicated it to Dominika.
Dominika was missing since the battle on the Persian Fields. Only a small group of catapults were left in Hastograd.
It was said that Dominika would lead her armies in battle. Did she die in battle or had she fled for her life?

It included the words supposed to be spoken by Dominika to the christian king, Theodosius, when he questioned her about the afterlife:

"I know Saint Peter won't call my name"

A true observation in line with her Hastogianistic beliefs.

                Lyric analyses:

                - "I used to rule the world" / "See the fear in my enemies eyes"

obviously refers to Dominika's dominance against both Byzantine and Persian armies.
Dominika was the only Queen on earth able to stand against two big empires with success!

She first made the Byzantine fleed out of Hascon with "Fear in their eyes"
Later the Persians were surprised with a fiery attack and capture of Hastogsburg.
For long Dominika was able to terrorize the Persian lands.

Dominika truely used to "Rule the worlds"

"Jerusalem's bells are ringing" refers to the Jewish faith of her allies, the Britannians, who never came to her aid.
Dominika felt powerful enough that she forgot to request the help of her Jewish friends.

"Roman cavalry choirs are singing" refers to the Byzantine (=Roman) cavalry she got from Theodosius.
The knights of Dominika were not able to help her.

"I used to throw the dice" refers to Dominika who was eager to gamble, and try to grab whatever she could,
even while running the risk to fail.

"I know that Saint Peter won't call my name" once again refers to her Hastogianistic doom, she was well aware that the afterlife would not bless her.

                • With the walls breached the Persian onslaught begun. Thousands upon thousands died in the fighting. Dominika fought throughout the battle, but towards the end of the day the defenders had been pushed back to the Shrine Keep. Only a few hundred remained, all of them wounded. With bitter teethgrinding Dominika faced the facts. The war was lost, the Russian armies annhiliated, only a small army of Knights at Volgorad remained. The Russian people would struggle to the end, but would eventually be deported to the new world.

Waiting for the Persian armies to break down the final gate, Dominika pondered her misfortune. Hearing then a horn, she could see from the southeast the last Russian forces, the Knights of Novgorod, as they approached the city. In tow they had a catapult crew that quicky began setting up positions and then began firing their boulders towards the wall breach. Soon the gap was filled with boulders. The Novgorod Knights then charged the Persians inside the walls and destroyed them. Having retaken the inner perimeter of the castle a group of Crossbowmen from Volgorad arrived and took up positions on the walls. The city garrison had marched to join the defenders, being replaced by reinforcements from further south.

Perhaps there was a chance after all... The Persians had no more catapults and most of their forces were wounded. With 3 Knights, 1 crossbow garrison and a catapult crew, and the castle properly defendable again, perhaps the defenders could hold on? Dominika decided to fight on. She would die in the keep, she knew that now. But she would make the victory as hard as she could on the Persian attackers.

                  • "Your report" demanded Theodosius of the messenger from his scouts at Hastograd. "The Persians have announced that they captured the city:

Hastograd remains in Persian hands, defended by 16 catapults
                    .

The messenger snorted. "Typical Persian lies my king. The city of Hastograd remains in Russian hands. It never fell to the Persians. The largest artillery force known to man was destroyed there by the Russian defenders."

Theodosius shook his head "Persians, dear Persians, when will you realise that your endless blustering arrogance does you no good. If you haven't captured the city - why say that you have? Does his lead other nations to trust you?"

"But presumably the city is doomed?"

"It seems so my King. When Dominika attacked Rhodes she miscalculated, you may remember, and had to fall back defeated until the Persian intervention. So too here - she miscalculated when she tried to push on from Hastograd and capture Persiopolis too, which led to the annihiliation of her first army, and now although as always the Russians fight bravely, and she herselft is truly a warrior queen, it seems that she will need to fall back to the old Russian borders, giving the great shrine of Hastog back to the Persians. ."

"But the destruction of the Persian artillery will limit their ability to take the war to the Russians?"

"Yes. The Persian bluster about deporting the whole of Russia, not only offends against every moral standard which exists in this world, and displays no understanding of a sense of measure or proportion in war, but once again is proved to be Persian arrogant exageration. They like to talk big the Persians. But they have been truly humbled by the small nation of Russia.

                          • Kane received conflicting reports. He was unsure if Hastograd was retaken by Persia or not. Things where still very unclear but what was clear was that even if the city was not taken it would take an act of god or interference of another nation to stop or at least slow down the clearly superior Persian forces.

But this war mattered not to Kane. All it ment to him was that more Russians would flood into Britannia. Torn poor souls lost without a leader and without a home of their own would turn to Kane for guidance and in time their minds would belong to Kane. And as they sit in the many churches of the Brotherhood they will give their very lives for one vision one goal one purpose.

                              • Leaders of the World,

                                The Russo-Persian War.

Can we not have some form of council of reconciliation here. Let us look to the rights and wrongs of this conflict. Both Russia and Persia are heathen states deserving of all pain and suffering to be offered in the mortal world. Both merit only destruction as all tyrannies do. Let us all join together and supply them with arms that they may rip the hearts out of their nations.

A peace treaty must be signed by all other nations to make this war last forever as an enfeebled Persia is a safe Persia and a Russia bled slowly to death is a menace removed from us all.

So it is written, So shall it be.
