  • Saddled upon her white horse Dominika barked orders:

Withdraw the army to the forested hill just west of the city and set up fortifications and sentries there. Send the obsolete units home for upgrades. Order our fleet to initiate a blockade of the strait. And get me a messenger. I have word for the motherlands.

    -Dear Roza Pahlavinova

As chief civil servant and priestess of Harastog you are in charge of the daily affairs of Moscow. Send word to the princes of other cities. The war is dragging out and we are going to have to think new. Rostov has supplied us with a grand fleet, Moscow has provided the gold and arms for our shock troops, Volga has build catapults by the hundreds. Ask if the Novgoridians could send some aid. Oh, and you as a Persian by birth, request the official aid of the armies of Persia. We are apparently going to need a continentwide alliance to repel the Byzantine invaders from our continent. The Byzantine are highly overconfident and while they have a breaking point for how much they will be willing to fight for those lands, we do not. We may lose this war, but we will not lose without battle and the Byzantine will gain nothing.

      • The Korean Taoists were proud to have heard from the great Indians. It would be good for the world to accept that Taoism is the way.

But the Koreans were diffeent to the Indians, it was felt thatTao should not be fored upon people, but it should be shown to be the truth.

True compassion would lead the world to the one true way. A hug is worth more than a fist.

Korean Taoists would head to the incans to enlighten them as to what was regarded as the only way.

            • Council in Rhodes

Bellisarius looked around his war cabinet.

Turning first to his intelligence officer. "What news?"

"Well Sir, just look these - notes of the Persian/Russian forces from successive periods - from their flight from Rhodes and then more recently. Clear proof of the practice of Persian soliders donning Russian uniforms. We always knew it was happening, as even the Russians have admitted, but good to have it comfirmed.

Then to the commandant of logistics. "What news?"

"Good. Despite the supposed blockage, we have just received new shipments of cavalry. The flow of troops from our northern lands continues unaffected by the blockade, though there is less fish to eat."

Then to the admiral of the fleet. "What news?"

"Good Sir. The blockage has effectively been broken before it was ever begun. It is stopping fishing and civilian traffic but has no impact on the military. Our ships in the area are a match of theirs. We are tracking their reinforcements through Arabian and Greek waters, and our own reinforcements coming along the north coast outnumber them.

Bellisarius smiled. Turning to his scribe "Report to Theodosius from Governor Bellisarius. Victory at Rhodes. Persian and Russian forces have fled. Naval blockade ineffective. Confident can continue holding Rhodes if that is your will, given continued reinforcements."

                • Waiting for Hor-Aha in the Eyptian port, Theodosius pondered the news his messengers brought.

There was the normal web of deception and delusion from Persia . Did the guru really think that
Of course one would leak it ... Remember that all the other nations never leaked the message.
. The dear guru should see how many copies of his letters I have here in my case sent on in disgust by my friends. If the guru really things that my neighbours are going to be turned into his lackies, doing his dirty work while he grows ever larger and more powerful, he really doesn't deserve the title guru.

The normal rants from Dominkia, who seemed to think that shouting louder and louder somehow frightened people.

An interesting communication from the Ottomans, who seem to find it hard to count. Claiming that Byzantium
already posess more land than the most greed-filled emporer could want
when in fact it only has one more city than Britannia, and 6 less than Persia.

                  Finally the report from Bellisarius.
Report to Theodosius from Governor Bellisarius. Victory at Rhodes. Persian and Russian forces have fled. Naval blockade ineffective. Confident can continue holding Rhodes if that is your will, given continued reinforcements.
. Good, he thought. My words to the Russians many years ago, when trying to suggest compromise, that they could not win this war have been shown true. Even when they receive huge help from their neighbour, combining to form a power far, far stronger than Byzantium, they still fail. The Byzantine armies, who have never attacked anyone, have proved themselves ever victorious.

But ... Theodosius continued to ponder. Remembering the actions of the Council of Chiefs after Constantine's martyrdom, who magnaminous in victory, after defeating the Greek invasion, then arranged peace. And indeed Constantine's own motto of concern for the weak ... maybe, he thought, just maybe ... but no the Persians will never agree to help their neighbours ... but well, I should draw up the proclamation anyway - let the nations of the world judge for themselves.

Continue with your ramblings if you must but for the last time, the Ottomans have not declared war in their entire history and until you provide evidence showing otherwise you are shaming yourself.

                        • As the Yorktown continued its journey along the Arabian coast a message came to it by
messenger bird. The message was from Alexander requesting his immediate return home.
Michael did not want to waste to turn the entire ship around so he ordered the Yorktown
to stop at the nearest port and continue on its mission. That morning Michael rode his
horse as fast as he could without stopping and by nightfall reached the shoreline close
to Russia. The next morning he was faired across the sea. Upon reaching Russian soil he
again rode far and fast reaching Pendragon early the next morning.

Michael quickly was escorted to the war room where Alexander and the Britannian
governors where already waiting for him. Michael, who was already tired and angry, sat
on his throne. He looked at the others and said, "What is it that is so important that you
dare bother me." Alexander stood up, "My Lord we have been getting reports of massive
Persian troop build up along with massive Russian build up and movement along our coast." Michael
responded, "So what is the problem? They are at war and though I may
not agree with them I will not stop them either and as long as you have done nothing to
antagonize them then they could do whatever it is they wish."

Alexander called to his servant to bring him the letters Persia has sent. Michael read
them... "So they wish use to help in fighting the Byzantines." Alexander replied, "Yes my
lord." Michael spoke again, "and I se you refused." Alexander again replied, "Yes my lord."

Michael then stood up and addressed the governors, "Ok listen up everyone for I will say
this only once. From this point on until otherwise notified I want to defenses of all the
cities tripled. Upgrade all archers to crossbow and start mass production of catapults.
Upgrade or axes to maces and begin building enough to counter any hostile invaders and
enough maces and ships to transport a large enough force to lay waist to any foreign
                          land."

"I do not want to be a sitting duck incase someone decides to turn on us." Alexander
asked with a puzzled look on his face, "Why do we need a large force to invade if we will not use it?" Michael looked Michael sat back down and said, "Who said, I have every
intention on using them. You just worry about coordinating out efforts and having
everything in place for in a reasonable amount of time."

Michael then stood up and left leaving Alexander and the governors unsure of Michael's
                          intentions.

I was planning on settling 4 cities on that peninsula. because of the settlements of byzantium I could only settle 2. after the britannians settled on the north side, the one city I have there is the only city I can have there. I HAD to remove that byzantine city so I could put my two cities in, bringing my total up to a pathetic 8, 3 of which would be on crappy frozen lands. persia had nothing to do with it. that is the truth. I did ask them to send a delegation to help if things went to hell, which they did. it should have been a fast assault, chase byzantine off the continent, settle my 2 cities. end of story.

but because of byzantiums stubborness, I've now had to call in help from other nations. persia, ottoman (and others) have now decided actively help me. and dominika and I agree in this, I will NOT stop until that city is destroyed and my 2 cities settled. now you can fight me all you want, but I've decided to spend the rest of the game making sure I get that frozen piece of land. you worry about india and england? give me what I want and use your army against a real threat...

                              • korea wants to show compassion to the world, to actively seek peace in this trouble torn world.

However when one nation offends us we must make a decision that compasion has been rejected and as a wise man once said "do not cast your pearls ....."

So due to the ottomans insulting ways, we will offer no aid to them or to any nation that is aligned with them till they show they are repentant of their ways.

This is a shame as we saw much good that russia was doing for its people and our hearts had been moved.
