I bet the game tells you I'm in there and that you cannot connect to me!

It doesn't even get that far, it stalls out at the step where it says "connected to host" I can't get past that part. It never fails, it just gets stuck there forever.

That's what happened to me. I connect to Host and then after I pick Russia no progress bar appears but it won't give an error message either.

I get a progress bar, it keeps going back and forth forever. I never get to pick a civ even.

i'm rebooting now and I'll backup all save files in a different folders.

I'm sorry, I'm not able to give much support to the server today.
It's my daughters (first) birthday and I'm still recovering myself as well.
