Conceder this to be your final warning Romans. Pull out of Russia or Japan will send its armies to Roman land and kill every man, woman, and child we come across. And do not make the mistake of considering this an empty threat either. Japan is not like Greece who has the ability but does nothing. We will not stand by as you attack someone weaker then yourself. You have 1 day to reply after that Japan will march to war.

    Emperor Itoku
Your threats and insults do you a diservice. Only a few years ago you were here persuading us to teach you what you needed to produce your samurii of our fear of the Greeks. Now you threaten us, and continue to insult them.

If you wish to talk, then please engage with the reasons for this conflict which even the Rus have accepted.
If you wish to threaten, go ahead.
If you wish to march to war, your people will arrive here when the short second Russian-Roman war is but a distant memory. We will ensure they receive a warriors burial.

You are surrounded by good, empty lands, haunts of barbarians. Give your warriors their fill there, and build a strong nation for your descendants.

    • Japan will bring war to Rome if they do not pull out NOW. And we do so not because we like Russia or because we want you lands. We do so because we want to see your people die slow painful deaths. We want to hear the screams of your women as we hang their children. We want to keep the look of fear and pain on the faces of your women as we saw their heads off. If you continue with you invasion of the Russians I will be slow and methodical in the elimination of all Romans and not even your god will save you for god does not favor the unworthy.

      • Truth be told we never sought you in fear of the Greeks. We only sought the tech we needed to bring our samurai to life and fight the largest army on this side of the world, which happens to be you. This Russian war has just given us an excuse to do so. We will fight and I will kill you whether the Russian roman war is over or not. Your days as a major power will soon come to an end and the funny part is that you where the one who enabled me to go forth with my plans and the very people you say your are fighting for, who are nutral, were the very same who suppied us with the tech we needed many years ago.

        • "More information from Japan, Apparently the Japanese got Civil Service from Rome." another scribe said.

"Hmmmm, then I must have been misinformed. But it doesn't change the situation that Japan has given great benefits to Rome by giving them double the price of what they got." The Chief Scribe answered.

"The Romans claim that the Russians admit that they are guilty for the outbreak of this war and that the Roman arguments are valid." a 3rd scribe brought forwards.

          "NO!" The Chief Scribe said.
"Well, yes, the arguments are true! There has been a war between Russia and Rome long ago, and yes, Russia did settle on land that belonged to the Portuguese according to the Portuguese / Russian deals of long ago.

Those things are true, but no valid reasons to go to war over! Rome search for reasons to invade Russia.

A war that was battled long ago is not a valid argument to start a new war today. And if Portugal has problems with Russia, then it's up to Portugal to act, not to Rome.

Rome tries to misinform the world, but the fact is that they are once again aggressors and invading territory of other nations.

There are even rumours about the Romans indoctrinating their little kids. These people are evil."

"Something else" the old scribe said. "I have been told that Japan considers us cowards. They think that we are all about talking but not about acting."

"We'll see." the Chief Scribe said.
"Japan doesn't know what's happening in this current war, and how Sparta is already involved behind the scenes. Japan should watch it's attitude towards Sparta. I am growing tired of Japan. I wonder if it's a good idea to give Japan land next to Sparta.
I get the idea that they say negative things about Sparta against Rome, and about Rome against Sparta. Do we really want neighbours like that?"

          • "It's not up to you to say such big words about Japan!" the elder scribe said. "Japan has always been a friend of Sparta. It's up to our king to decide over Japan. You are not the King of Sparta, Chief of the Scribes, and I will not let you say these negative things about Sparta."

The Chief Scribe was in doubt for one moment.
Then he said: "This meeting is over." and he left.

            • Japan is fully aware of all the “behind the scenes” activities Sparta does. We simply put the fact that on more the one occasion you had the opportunity to put the Romans in their place yet have done nothing but talk. Now is not the time for Talk or back door deals, Now is the time to deal with the Romans once and for all.

                • To: Suryavarman 1 and the Khmerian people.

Sad news have come yesterday from a returning Portuguese ship from Spain - the Great Ganesh has past away.

My condolences new King. Ganesh was a good ruler with some cultural issues. Nevertheless he contributed greatly to the rising power of your kingdom and we respect him for that. Portugal and Khmer had their differences during your father’s rein. I only hope that we can build a new future for our people and decrease the misunderstanding that our nations have had in the past.

In order for our people to start breaking their cultural difference, Portugal will send Prince Henry son of Marco and Isabella to your lands, where he can learn Khmer’s way and when the time arrives for him to rule Portugal, our countries won’t be strangers to each other anymore.

My son will sail tomorrow morning to your lands.

                  Marco

                  • Sequel of the last post
Once the Emperor came back, Shas'El Rhy'Myr Mee'Ting bowed and a rider entered the room. He was unlike the well known Immortals of the Piercian Empire. Engulfed in heavy scale-armor, both the rider and the mount stood there as a statue that had come to life. Tempered in Iron, they were really impressive.

"Aun'O Asiz Asizia, my Emperor, allow me to introduce Shas'Vre O'Mar Va'Ley to your majesty. He is among the Knights, an excellent fighter equipped with the best a Shas can dream of. Only a few of our Shas'Vre are currently trained at heavy cavalry combat, but more can be instructed if you wish. Only specially equipped and trained foes can be a treat to a Knight."

Looking at the Shas'Vre with pride, the Emperor said " That's what I call a warrior ! I am honored to meet you O'Mar. I am sure that Rhy'Myr has chosen you wisely and that you will accomplish great things for the Empire. "

Salutating, the visibly glad knight answered " My life for the Greater Good, Aun'O. You can count on the Shas. "

Shas'El Rhy'Myr allowed to knight to leave, and called for a Shas'Ui named Mhu'Lhud Mee'Ting. A sound of iron boots on the ground and armor plates sliding on eachother came from the corridor leading to the throne-room.

A large silhouette entered the room, with a glancing and decorated armor. Sharp shapes were drawn by the bronzen edges of the iron armor and the heavy helmet showed only the lower face of it's wearer. The Shas'Ui was unarmed, showing only his massive towershield he held on his left forearm. After a few heavy steps towards the center of the room, he stopped and kneeled in front of the Emperor.

Shas'Vre Rhy'Myr spoke again : " The equipment you can see on this Shas'Ui is what most of our modern footmen will wear in battle. It offers optimal protection, considering that it can be produced on large scales. You may wonder why he is unarmed. This is because two different types of weaponry have been craftet for wearers of this armor. They can either wield a weapon that consists of a spined heavy sphere attached to a staff by a chain. Those are called Macemen and can deal heavy damage to almost any oponent, especially other melee fighters. Or they can be given a big iron spear, too heavy to be thrown at the ennemy, but deadly against charging cavalry. Of course, all of them are equipped with a large towershield for optimal protection against incoming projectiles as your very own martial doctrines are recommending it."

Satisfied, the Emperor Answered : " Well, Shas'El. You are making me confident. Times of trouble are arising. Are there any foreign soldiers who can compete with your men ? "

" Aun'O, as far as we know, there is no foreign army that is as well equipped as yours. If we are attacked, no-one will be able to withstand our power. "

" Excellent news Shas'El. But what if we need to bring the fight to our ennemies ? "

" I guess, that's something you should ask the Fio'O and the Kor'O about. As far as I know, they have just as good news as both of us had for you. "

" Perfect, I will meet them tomorrow. "

                    OOC : To be continued...

Nations may also be interested in the correspondance we received from the Japenese just days ago.

We would also like to trade you two vouchers for 1 tech if you would be willing. I await your answer and hope this may mark the beginning of a good friendship.

                      Emperor Itoku
You hope for the beginning of a good friendship between us, while in fact were planning an imminent war for no other reason than the size of our army (though your spies are badly informed if they think we are the most powerful nation).

We have learnt not to trust you. Others may smile at Roman naivity, but perhaps should beware of Japenese friendship themselves.

He read it out loud, introducing it like this: "Listen, this is amusing! Rome has responded to Japan, this is a part of their communications"

We have learnt not to trust you. Others may smile at Roman naivity, but perhaps should beware of Japenese friendship themselves.

All scribes started to laugh out loud.

"Is Rome really saying something like: 'we are being screwed by Japan'? As if they didn't got two freaking vouchers for one simple technology! That is really amusing!" someone said.

"We got only 2 vouchers, give us MOOOOORE" another one kicked into the party.

"That's not he Rome we know! The Rome we know is very shy and modest! They would even be dissatisfied if Japan had given them half a voucher!" a bearded scribe laughed.

"Yes, and then the go to Russia to pick up the other one!" the young guy added.

"Rome has been seriously screwed by Japan, only two vouchers! We should send a letter to Japan asking them to send more to Rome!" The old scribe said.

The bald scribe continued: "Let's send our Prince to Japan to bring that message! He's really good at that!"

This remark was followed by silence.
                        Nobody laughed.
Angry looks were given to the bald scribe.

"That was really inappropriate!" The Chief said.
The atmosphere was gone. Nobody laughed any more.
They continued to wait for their new king while being silent

Back in Oldonia Prince Larry continue to urge citizens to join the newly formed Siege group. Massive bombardment divisions were being formed and as each one was compelted was sent to the east.

Mounted archers trained in brand new Stables matched with the garrisoned barracks headed east. The manical group of Berzerk two axed warriors grew in numbers.

Defenders for all Oldonian citys grew too with the old archery groups handed out the new crossbows and longbows to replace the old equipment,.

Oldonia had grown its economy and was now spending it to protect its freind the Rus

Whilst Japan had other reasons for this war. Oldonia had only one. The protection of any smaller nation agaisnt a larger one.
