You can queue up orders every 2 or 4 turns. I fail too see what is problematic with that.

Until a war starts and then they have 2 to 4 times as many turns to attack as me, not sustainable.

        So, could someone please?
For the first 100 turns or so not much is going on. After that though, civs are staring to have many units, any of which might need new directions each turn (not everything can be qued up).

The 12 hour timer was to speed up the early turns where people are just waiting turn after turn for say a settler, or a worker.

24 is the standard for pitboss games. It ensures that as long as you can get to your game once a day you will miss no turns.

Don't know how much more simple to explain it.

Why are we discussing the timer issue for "Beyond the Pit" in THIS thread? I would be interested in starting up a new game, a normal game (ie not pitboss), we don't need a huge amount of players but I'd like to get at least six.

So if you are interested in playing in this game let me know when you are available for a weekly three hour session.
