The civ I'm thinking of is definitely fantasy. Something I tried years ago in my first diplogame actually, but that game didn't last very long, so I'm thinking of giving it another go. Plus the civs I'm thinking of picking don't have a lot of history I can take advantage of (or are civs I've done before).

But that's why I figured I'd check with y'all. As Pin said, it'll be a fantasy concept, but I won't have people going into battle with baseball bats or anything. I'll try to work the fantasy concept in as well as I can.

I'd still want to ban two people from picking the same civ even if one of them plays a fantasy civ. I think what civ/leader you pick does have more than 1% of an impact upon the game.

As far as I know Carpathia is not a real civ. Like I said King of Rohan, Master of Atlantis or anything sensible is good.

I defenitely want to play a next war diplogame, but not this one. It's the first pitboss 18 players diplogame. Let's not do that now.

Double civs: NO
There are 32 civs, that should be enough.

Unrestricted leaders: NO
It's unballanced.

If someone creates a random list of all players, then I'll create a random list of numbers. Then we can both PM the random list to a 3rd person who publishes both lists overhere.

example:

Random list 2:

Posted list by 3rd player:
3 deity
2 ozzy
5 heraclitus
1 pinchak
4 CyberShy

In this example pinchak picks civ/leader first, then ozzy, then deity, then CyberShy and heraclitus last.
It's a simple but safe and elegant way to get a random pick-civ order.

I'll create the random name list.
Who'll create the random order list, and who'll combine the lists and post them here?

The eventual 18th player will just pick his/her civ last.

I'll send him a PM again, he said that he wasn't really interested in the story telling, but he was in the diplo-part.

If we go Anon, then I suppose it's best if I create the mailboxes again, etc.
Maybe I can ask Ming to collect the names, etc.
He can create the poly-accounts and setup random passwords.

Then he tells me what accounts (mail) I have to create and what passwords.
Then he can inform all players about their password / login details.

I'll ask him straight away.
