Yeah we still have room for one more.

      • That depends on, if we are playing anon or not. We first need to vote on that.

        I vote for anon.

                  • I was against it before, but it is definitely working well in HOTW XII, so I also vote for anon. Though if I do a fantasy civ, it'll quickly become apparent who I am. So I guess I request to not bother with anon myself since there wouldn't be any need or point.

I'm not averse to using mods, I'd actually like to see us try a diplogame with lots of mods, but.. I don't really care for the Next War mod. I don't want to extend the game any longer than it already is.

Well untill you pointed it out it would have been worth bothering. I mean I have no idea who "Carpathia" is.

And some other players have shown an interest in a fantasy civs... so don't count yourself out just yet, we'll see how many fantasy civs there are.

This provides an interesting question: If we have a America under Lincoln can Ozzy still have the Land of Oz led by Washington and have the mall as his UB?

                      • Well the Carpathia player didn't pointedly ask about it in the set up thread, heh. I did, so it'd be obvious once things started. Plus the nature of the civ I'm intending to play (not the baseball one) would make it obvious as well.

                        • Well if you are going for fantasy, it would be better you went and did something like Carpathia or perhaps a civ not Civ4 (polynesians or something) than to have a baseball league.

That's exactly why i suggested unrestricted leaders. Just in order to avoid the civ doubling. Forcing fantasy civs is an option too.

                            Anyway, i like unrestricted leaders.

PS: I don't care about anon mainly because of my unperfect english showing who i am anyway.

I think there has never been civ doubling in a diplo. No need for unrestircted leaders (they also open up balance issues) to do that.

I'm firmly against unrestricted leaders and "doubling" civs. There are more than enough civs to go arund, we just use the same selection processs we used in HOTW12 (everyone sends in the 3 top civs they would like to play, everyone gets to play at least one civ they have on their list).

PS: Don't worry a lot of us are rather poor at English.
