  • It's also possible now to pick a leader!
After you've submitted your civ, you can return to your document and pick a leader as well.

Please all do this, even if your civ has only 1 leader!

You can also keep changing your password.
You can change your leader later on as well, btw. I just hope to be able to put the final list of civs/leaders here as soon as all players have submitted their civs!

It is hilarious actually. First time my wife read the forums, so she thinks I'm the laughing stock of the Internet!

I am under a lot of pressure in RL btw...

                    • It's not really a problem, I just noticed in the past months that it tends to take much time for you to read your PM's (One can see who read the pm's in the 'tracking' box)

Thought I should tell you about that, b/c during games it may be important that you read diplo-pm's in time

Mostly you have already done what I asked you to do in the pm anyway.

                        • Ok, I think we should settle on what kind of map we should play.

Old and New world divided start seems fun (very little contact before optics with the possitble exception of a "greenland" like place you need to settle to reach the new world).

Now some players have their hearts set on pangea, ok what about a compriomise? All players start on a large old world continent. (Just like HOTW12 just a bigger map)
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

I think it was decided by a majority that we didn't want the classic terra type set-up.

With 18 players I think it makes sense to have two major starting landmasses, with perhaps a third unsettled landmass (to add the exploration element).

I have a good idea of what is going to be interesting while keeping game balance.
