Not talking about connection problems, Rho.

With no tech trading, it is going to take us much longer to get through the era's. I think it would balance off nicley against the slighly faster game speed.

if this is no tech trading at all, then I'm not interested, cause I'm too much a noob.

The new game has a no brokering setting, so we can even have an AI civ recognize what they have researched.


I would play in that game, Beta. If we have no value as noob players, have nothing to trade with the high rollers, then they really have little to do with us other than decide to war with others. Swapping tech gave my little and bad land civ some reason to stay in the game till the end. Many who are last in the score list just loose hope and you end up killing their abandonded ai civ.

I vote for "No tech brokerig" of "no tech trading" as well. It's not as if we tried hard enough to finally get it in the game

In the past I also tried to convince Ozzy that we should scale back to epic speed. Now I know that that's not a good idea. But if the majority wants that, I'm fine with that.

I also suggest that we wait 1 more week for Beta so that we can all start the game together.

I don't have BtS yet so can someone explain the difference between Tech Trading and Tech Brokering.

@Deity Dude: No Tech Brokering: you can't give/trade techs to others that you didn't research yourself.
ie. I give bronze working to you, you can't give/trade bronze working to anyone else.

ok I didn't see my name listed and there were no more open spaces. I have only used Elizabeth need to recheck what boudica gives you. I expect Elizabeth will be what I want.

If we use the online service again please please please put a password on it. All my plans got messed up last time, would have been better to have an AI than someone who didn't know what I was planning as it turned out. Any thoughts on my rule and map suggestions.

No tech trading is just that period.

No tech brokering means you can trade only what you personally invented. The person who gets it can't pass it on to someone else.


If its No trading period.. count me out. I'd be too low in points and teching and loose interest and have no function in the game. I'd be in the way. Probably would find it too easy to do something else that night, cause there would be little inspiration being last for 4 months.

Boudica is the Celts. For England you can pick from Elizabeth, Victoria, or Churchill.

As for the password, a lobby password is probably wise, but still don't password your civ. If you don't want subs, just tell the others and I"m sure they'll respect that. But if you were to drop out suddenly or something and had a password on your civ there would be no way to give your civ to someone else.
