I'm all for a new title for HOTW, but some fundamentalistic oldies insist on keeping HOTW
Maybe it's a good idea to try a continents map next.

That makes things more interesting, since civs have a choise between being friends with all civs on your continent, and thus not change to expand through war, or make war with your continent buddies, which prevents large alliances.

The tech trading may be restricted a bit more.
And if there are only 3 civs per continent, the alliances won't be too huge anyway.
I think it would be a nice experiment!
