Perhaps it would be entertaining for us to discuss some generic rules for a holy war. Since we can found different religions, and role play them as we choose, we also can take advantage of holy wars. I saw Ozzy do that in hotw7 but it was very bad for the person he was waging war against.

I envision a holy war to spread the faith as one in which, after the city in question is conquered, and after the conquerer establishes his/her religion in the conquered city, the city is given back to the person from whom it was taken. This way we can role play holy wars, and we can engage in real battles, but we can maintain our boarders.

As I read it, I am not really sure its all that good an idea. It might be fun, or it might really take something away from the game.

Taking cities and giving them back is always a nice way to really slap another player (all his buildings are gone) without harming him too much.

That counts both for culture wars and holy wars as they are described.

Ok so we can roughly say that HOTW8 starting date will be the 23th this month or on the 2nd of March. It all depends if we want to take a rest next friday due to CS and Kuno missing and wait for them so that they can enjoy the last session with us. I personally really wona finish the game asap, but I think the guys deserve to end the game together with us, so I say that we should wait for them. After all CS and Kuno are awesome diplo players (100% reliable)

I guess my only qulams with the present system, is it mweans at time speople ignore their chosen religion, they choose it simply becasue it is the only one left ( if they found it) or choose to change it to make more money etc.

Would be fun to explore this without it being a stepping stone to voctory, i onyl ask this as i know i never would be in running t owin a game, but if these kinds of things were forced on palyers would mkae it more fun and less a trudge to compete.
