Ok so looking forward to continue the big game on sunday aussies

Another great Sunday session with about 4 more hours played. On this huge terra map, several players continue to struggle against the barbs, but have founded an extra city or 2. The Romans played by myself are relentlessly making good use of the Imperialistic trait to produce cheap settlers, and hoping the organised trait keeps the expenses under control. So far so good, just. Science rate is varying between 30 and 50% with it tending to stay closer to 50% later in the session. I am confident there will be no need for the Romans to expand into the new world when it is found, that will be left to the other civs to squabble over. Next Sunday the game will continue to provide an interest and challenge to the players on the largest map we have played on to this point of time. The Roman experiment of ceaseless expansion will continue until the old world is filled with cities, then we will consolidate for the end game.

Yep, great game-in spite of the bloody barbs!!!! Now that I have horse archers, though, I should be able to start kicking their butts. I am ticked off that I had to build such a marginal city just to get access to copper and iron!

Marcus, Bin Laden and myself are good for Sunday's game

A good long session after some early connection problems, probably boring for some as Frank launched a massive assault on the Romans led by the myself. Two cities of the Romans were captured fairly quickly, one of which was razed, before he was forced to retreat with his wounded stacks from 2 more cities. After healing and the addition of knights to his attacking force he made a second attempt to capture a city. Heavy losses followed with most attackers and defenders destroyed and with the session finishing it was decided that peace was in order. The war although costly to the Romans has not seriously damaged their civ and they still remained top in score at end of the session, with a decreased margin though mainly due to the largest land area by 50% or more.

I played JC of Rome in the Saturday game. I would like to continue this Saturday, but I may not be available for medical reasons. If you find a sub for me, I will surely play the following week.

I think at least one other player will not be around Sat, so that game will probably be deferrred for a future week. What we play this Sat willm depend on who is available.

So as you all know Marcus said that he won't be here on sunday, i spoke with him yesterday and he said he can make it at 6-6:20pm Sunday. Vile said he is good with that time. I think that may be tough to pull out due to franks time 3am. But let see what happens, that will be 1am for me but i will be here. So frank, deity and trev let see what u guys think.

Sounds good deity, yea no normal session so we can kick off the later one. So we got marcus, deity, Vile and myself good to go. Waiting on trev and frank. Hey frank some sacrifice man

I have no problem with the later time, but would like to play at the normal time if there is an existing game to play. Let us see who is there. As far as saturday goes, I will be working for a while, probably into the afternoon a bit, but not sure what time too, but I also must finish any session by 5pm as I am going out Saturday evening anyway. If I am not around, play a game without me.
