actually I just met some old collegues from my slavetime days and had a good time

As for starting next week. neither capo or omni will be ready for that. (though omni might be able to pull off a little stunt... I'll ask him). Ozzy, could capo get online by any other means? friends pc? parents pc? internet cafe? I think he has to make some sacrifices for the crew. 3 hours on a friday evening he must be able to hide away in a basement somewhere....

As for starting on the 1st of september... it's as good a date as they come. The following things are some events that have previously occurred on September 1st.

Well, because it was a voluntary Vassalage, it only lasted 10 turns, then the AI cut of all links. It never got around to declaring war, although Deity and Rho nearly did a few times.

Ok, I just heard back from Capo. It seems he is in his new place but the cable company is taking forever to hook up his internet. So who knows when they will finally get it set up. Capo doesn't think he will be online this week, even though Comcast said they'll be out tomorrow.

He is ok with us starting up a civ for him and using a sub. He wants Julius Caesar.

He didn't care about the settings.
