I personally don't mind if we wait for Warlords or not, but if we do wait, what about a quick random game before we get Warlords. We could play around with using settings we wouldn't normally use . I for one, wouldn't mind trying out the 'maze' map configuration.

Ok, all you guys interested in starting HOTW7, usually the best way to get your feet wet in diplogaming is to sign up as a sub in an on going game. With it being summer (for us northerners) there will be plenty of opportunities coming up for subbing.

HOTWV will definitely need subs over the next few weeks. I have posted the dates in the Multigame Diplo Signup Sheet thread, and in the HOWTV planning thread. Post if you're available.

We should really start planning this out again. I think there was talk of waiting for Warlords to come out, and we probably have a couple of new faces, so we should open the discussion again.

I am down, considering the time of course.

I'm available from half-august.

I can play fridays:
20:00 UTC - 01:30 UTC
(which is Gametime (GT) - 2,5 till GT + 3)

I can play saturdays:
21:30 UTC - 23:30 UTC
(GT -1 till GT + 1)
Most of the time I'll be able to play longer on saturdays, but sometimes I want to do things on saturday evening. (like having a life)

I think it should be possible to try a 12+ player game.

I think it should be possible btw to have more players who play the same leader/nation. Just make a customable nation-name. (ie. The Dutch, or Canada).
Then it won't matter-gamewise.

regardless, 25th of july I hear is the release for Warlords (at least it says so at civfanatics) with all likelyhood I will be either at my parents place or back in bergen, either way, result = internet connection. I can play more or less any day and any time.

will HoTWV be over by then? too bad, I would have loved to go WW2 with good ole germany oh well, omni seems to be doing a good job at running ze vaterland.

12 players sounds very very very optimistic, but holy cow it would totally über-rock if we could make it work. 9'ish players have been great imo, more might make things take forever, but otoh, we're all patient civilized people (yes, even you capo )
We could try, if its too much hassle, we'll work out something else.

Also, I think I might call Mali for this game. though I havent decided yet. need to see the new warlords leaders and their traits first. I'm gonna try a somewhat unorthodox playstyle, will be interesting to see if I can pull it off.

And perhaps it's even wise to wait for the 1st Warlords Patch to start that game. (in fact I mean: wait till I'm back from my holiday )

If it's not working we'll spam Firaxis day and night till they fix it

I'm not keen on having multiple players picking the same civ.... but we can discuss that.
