Marcus you missed some interesting developments after your defeat by toni.
Toni has grown strong and Trev and Ljube wanted to bring him down a peg or two.
However most of the rest of us thought it is better the powerful nation we know then the agressive powers that may be created by tonis defeat with 2-1. They amassed a large army and hit toni hard, but with support from Deity/Rome/China/India it was more then enough to halt them, with nearly there whole army destroyed.
We were not oging to trade one bigger power who had been agressive to no one, including marcus, did decleared war on toni, for 2 tyrants who had proved there agression this game twice already. They wanted to change the power in the world to there favor and we opposed it and wanted the order to remain is.
Rome/Chinese/Indian forces were storming into Trevs lands in the south, when trev sued for peace. We did not want trev to be destroyed, simply not 2-1 versus toni to conquer and give them all the power.
Ljube soon also sort peace with his army destroyed. Incans and English should consider them selves lucky we decided not to punish this agression.
Since the war has ended intelligence indicates Ljube is probing for targets. Spies had intel the Incans wanted english blood and then Roman. It seem ljube is hell bent on war. All eyes are very wary now on both Trev and particarly ljubes actions.
The internation community has branded the Inca a "rouge nation" and the alliance between trev and ljube and "Axis of Evil".
I think there motives to unite were based more on there long war against each other put them in a weakened position and they wanted to expand to make up the differance.
Well the peaceful nations of the world opposed this agression and united to thawrt it, peace reins.
How Romes position is this. If nations go to war with a premedated action of 2 vs 1 then Rome will consider its interest in jeapordy. Dosnt mean we will act on all times but it could very well happen. If the war is 1vs1 then Rome is more inclined to let it play out and leave it to fate.
Good game.

Hmmm Marcus Marcus, it’s all about getting the good land for yourself when you can mate. I'm sorry that I had to do that but I needed to do it in order to assure my future progress. I don't think that I was the aggressive player, maybe you were, because you settled your 2nd city right next to mine why I don't know, but that was clearly an aggressive move there if you ask me. And again taking your city from the barbs eased the tension on the borders we had it was a strategy move not an aggressive one.
Yea game turned to be very interesting when you left, trev and Ljube allied themselves against me, good that I saw there armies early enough to ask help from the others. Deity and Mike were kind enough to send troops to aid me, Mike send horsemen and deity his axes. This combined with my brave crossbows took on the invading evil hordes. I think the total army of the invaders was around 25, to me honest I panicked 1st when I saw them, but having secured allies I felt much better. So while trev and ljube were invading and attacking me, my Roman, Indian and Chinese friends from the south attacked trev, pushing him very quickly to sue for peace with me. Soon after that ljube followed after losing his whole army, just 3 poor soles were left to get back to their corrupted homeland. I think my total losses were no more then 10 units. So this is how the saga ended, now peace has returned again. Still everyone one knows that won’t be for so long.

When your empire size from conquering another player is substantially larger than any other player, there should not be a need for requesting help from 4 other civs if you have defended your empire adequately, particularly when you are attacked by 2 small civs as you were. Your score was as large as mine and ljube's combined, which means your defence if your strategy was good you should have been able to handle our units easily. It is evidence of flaws in your strategy that you were required to get help from 4 civs to survive the attack of 2. In my opinion any civ with a big lead should expect to be attacked and therefore should have the appropiate defences. Very early in the game when I had a lead, I was atacked by a massive force from ljube and survived because I made my army commensurate with my size. You should do the same.

I thought the arguement was that Toni was a "threat to all" because "he was in the lead". And "all he has to do is sit back and win" then you tell him his army isn't big enough. Maybe you should have listened to the rest of us when we said he wasn't such a threat yet, particularly not threatening enough to get gangbanged.

The threat from Toni is not initially military, but from economic and scientific strength which can later in the game be used to produce overwhelming military strength. It would have been good to have taken 2 - 3 cities from Toni, so that he was only level pegging in that regard and prevented a future threat. Your action means that that future threat is now much more certain. Ljube is seen as a threat now, but his strategy has left him with severe economic weaknesses, and therefore his tech and military equipment will become outdated very soon. He will not be a threat to anyone very soon, depending on tech priorities by the leaders, it may already be the case. Certainly if people like Toni had given the right priority to military techs that would be the case.

Harsh Trev
Your comments are to harsh Trev, you dont see the full extent of Toni's position. Me and Deity are best placed to see this. Toni is not so powerful, he is strong but would not survie awar against me and deity. At any time we chose if toni got out of hand we could control him.
If you did take 2-3 cities of toni that would be more then half his empire and he would be in a worse position then you. Your position and Ljubes was through your own doing with your long war. Is it anyone wonder that Toni, myself, deity and dangime are doing very well. Before you critise toni's plans look at your own and how much your stuburness with your war cost you, was it such a good move? Maybe, maybe not.
Toni probably could have beaten both of yous. But the rest of us saw it as You and Ljube doing a power grab for yourselves. In this game you guys are the agressors, that is why we allied against yous.
Now if toni became aggressive then im sure a number of us will ally against him to deal with the threat. However if it is 1vs1 im inclined to leave it unless i see an oportunity that is to good to ignore.
This how the game is ment to be guys, action and reactions. We saw your actions as aggresive and over the top against toni, and more to increase your own power as your long war slowed yous down so much.
Its fun all this diplomacy and strategies. Toni is along way from wining, he is not as powerful as you think.

What a bunch of crap. Let's see if you and deity will now be able to "control" Toni, now that I have become his vassal.
Toni, Your wish is my command. I shall obey you, my liege.

Just one thing, after all my strategy was totally inadequate if you ask Trev, but why I’m I still the top civ, I wonder is it my bad strategy again
how much your stuburness with your war cost you, was it such a good move?
