So do you understand what i am trying to express when i say: Try to play a little more like Israel?

Use: Espionage (Mossad), use a small number of great general unique units (israeli army being one of the most advanced in the world despite its size), and use diplomacy (israel has been pretty successful in using diplomacy to pit its allies against its enemies)

I have never defined a winning goal for this style of play. A space race is not out of the picture, the spies can keep competing civs out of the race and it should be easy to gauge the enemies progress. An all out nuclear domination victory might be possible (it might add to the idea of playing as isreal ), the goal might be to nuke EVERYONE and use the small but highly trained army to mop up the wasteland. A cultural victory is not out of the question, but would be hard to accomplish since the culture slider and esp sliders compete. A U.N. victory is not far-fetched either.

The programmers and developers took the time to put espionage in the game. They put the time in to develop a full tech tree spanning from neolithic times to the near future. Why not try to play within those bounds and enjoy the full breadth of the game by exploring Espionage in creative ways?

Culture slider is just ONE way to do a CV. Try all farmed artist specialists plus religions.

Why would I want to play more like Israel?

To wander for 40 years in the desert and settle in the only place that has no oil.
To be hated by every neighbor.
What you consider offers of peace, to be really just a respite for your enemy to rearm.
Where your enemy uses their own people for shields so if you kill them, they have more propaganda to use against you and if you don't, they call you weak and declare victory.
Knowing that no matter how much you're hated by staying there, most of the places you could go would be to places where you're hated worse.

NO, I don't want to play more like Israel.
I'd much rather play like the US. Conquer with superior technologies and numbers.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

The only good thing about espionage in CIV, is hot pixel chicks in tight leather outfits.

Generally I tend to ignore that part of the game. I use it almost soley as a way to see into enemy lands, and keep tab on thier research.

            Actually... here's a fun quote.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Bert didn't believe in the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, which is why he also said that God does not play dice. Based on that principle doing the exact same thing over and over will yield different results. Einstein was a hack who had a very lucky year in 1905, and probably stole most of his ideas from patents he reviewed or the other members of the Olympia Academy (Besso, Maric, etc.) After he released those papers, he did very little else except for doubt himself, being flatout wrong on most of quantum physics, and acting like a celebrity.
